• Nitro Gen Omega - PS5 Review

Nitro Gen Omega may be one of the weirdest experiences that I've ever sat down to. Having lost the war to the AI and its robot armies, humanity is on the brink of extinction.

  • Minos - PC (Steam) Review

The tower defense genre is one that doesn't tend to innovate much with static maps, various traps, and its simple to grasp gameplay loops. At least, that is until Minos with a mighty laugh to prove you wrong.

  • The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time - PC Review

If you are here reading this, it means one of two things: ‘a’ you saw an extremely long weird game title and were wondering what it actually was, or ‘b’ you’re interested in a puzzle solving meta JRPG stylized adventure. Either way, let’s take a look into “The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of all Time”.

  • R-Type Dimensions III - Xbox Review

R-Type is one of the best known shoot-‘em-ups in gaming history, and for very good reason. It’s always been incredibly challenging, but tight controls and visual flair have been hallmarks of this series for decades now. This updated port of the third game in the series, R-Type III: The Third Lightning feels quite overdue.

  • Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes - PC Review

Battlestar Galactica in all its incarnations has been part of the bedrock of Western science fiction for nearly half a century. Alt Shift’s newest entry Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes aims to capture the franchise’s feeling of courage in the face of relentless pursuit and overwhelming odds, and it does it well.

ININ Games Addresses Community Feedback on R-Type Dimensions III

Stuttgart, Germany - 2nd of June, 2026 | Since the digital launch of R-Type Dimensions III on May 19, the team at ININ Games has been closely monitoring player feedback across all channels. Whilst many players and media outlets have praised the game, we recognize that members of the dedicated R-Type community have raised important concerns regarding several aspects of the release.

Today, we want to share the steps we are taking to address this feedback and ensure that R-Type Dimensions III delivers the experience that fans of this legendary series deserve.

Listening to the Community

Our goal has always been to create a collection that honors the legacy of R-Type and celebrates one of gaming’s most iconic shoot-'em-up franchises. We take that feedback seriously and accept responsibility for addressing it.

A Community-Guided Improvement Process

Since release, our teams have carefully reviewed player reports, reviews, and discussions. Based on this feedback, we have identified several improvements and fixes that will be implemented in a series of upcoming patches.

The first update is currently planned for mid-June, with additional updates to follow at the beginning of July and mid-July. Rather than rushing out isolated fixes, our goal is to address the concerns raised by the community comprehensively.

To help us achieve this, the Steam version will serve as the primary platform for testing and validating improvements before they are rolled out more broadly. We are also inviting experienced members of the hardcore R-Type community to participate directly in the feedback and verification process. Their expertise and passion for the franchise will help us ensure that the changes we make truly address the issues being discussed.

In addition, we are reaching out to content creators and community voices who have provided critical feedback, with the goal of involving them in the process wherever possible. Constructive criticism is an important part of making the game better, and we welcome the opportunity to work together.

Expanded Internal and External Quality Assurance

To strengthen our validation process moving forward, we are conducting a renewed round of internal and external quality assurance. This effort will involve additional testers from multiple regions, including Japan, and experienced community members, to ensure that improvements are thoroughly evaluated before release.

Our objective is simple: every change should be verified not only by our own teams, but also by players who know these games inside and out.

Physical Production Postponed Until Improvements Are Complete

Following discussions with the community, we have also reviewed the production schedule for the physical editions of R-Type Dimensions III.

We can confirm that physical production will not begin until the identified issues have been addressed to our satisfaction. We believe this is the right decision for players and collectors alike, and it reflects our commitment to delivering the best possible version of the game on cartridge and disc.

We know how important physical preservation is to the R-Type community, and we want the physical release to represent the strongest version of the game available. Given the considerable effort invested in bringing the title to physical formats (including the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 cartridge release) we believe taking additional time now is the best path forward for everyone involved.

Our Commitment to the R-Type Legacy

R-Type remains one of the most important and respected shoot-'em-up franchises in gaming history. We understand the responsibility that comes with bringing this series to both longtime fans and new players.

The passion shown by the community over the past weeks demonstrates just how much R-Type means to so many people around the world. We have heard that passion clearly.

We are committed to earning back the confidence of players through action, transparency, and continued improvements. The work is already underway, and we will continue communicating our progress as updates become available.

We appreciate the feedback, the criticism, and the patience shown by the community. Our teams remain fully dedicated to ensuring that R-Type Dimensions III ultimately stands as a release worthy of the franchise's legacy.

Further updates will be shared on the news section of ININGAMES.COM as development progresses.

Iphigames and Horrified Triangles Reveal Cinematic Trailer for Haunted Bloodlines

Athens, Greece | Iphigames, Serafini Productions and developer Horrified Triangles today revealed a brand-new Cinematic Trailer for their upcoming first-person psychological horror game, Haunted Bloodlines, as part of The Horror Game Awards.

The trailer offers a first look at new scenes from the full game and announces that Haunted Bloodlines will launch on Steam and PlayStation 5, pulling players deeper into the mansion that gives the game its name. A house that doesn't just hold horrors, but seems to live and breathe alongside those trapped inside it.

Haunted Bloodlines is a first-person survival and psychological horror experience that drops players into the eerie depths of an ever-shifting mansion. After the sudden death of your father, you inherit a sprawling estate hidden deep within a dark forest, only to begin questioning your sanity as you uncover disturbing truths about your family's legacy. Is your bloodline who you believe them to be? And can you face the truth without losing your mind?

The deeper you go, the less the house makes sense. Rooms rearrange themselves. Memories that aren't yours start to surface. And the further you dig into your family's past, the harder it becomes to tell what's real and what the mansion wants you to see.

With no way to defend yourself, your only options are to hide or run. Stay silent, stay hidden, and keep track of the mansion's shifting layout. Any wrong move could be your last. As tragedy plays out in front of you, visions twist and whispers grow louder, blurring the line between reality and nightmare. You'll solve puzzles by stepping into the past, and move between the living world and its haunted reflection, where each side holds both pieces of the truth and horrors you'd rather not face.

Inspired by P.T. and Silent Hill and mixed with Greek mythology, Haunted Bloodlines started life as a student project before growing into a full horror experience under Horrified Triangles, with a clearer identity and a long-term vision.

A free demo is available now on Steam.

Key Features

  • Escape: Hide or run to survive, and be careful not to misjudge HER presence.
  • Sanity: Endure tragic events as your mind begins to turn against you.
  • Time: Solve puzzles and change events by stepping into the past, with consequences that shape the horrors to come.
  • Realm-Switching: Move between the living world and its haunted reflection to reveal hidden paths, and awaken what lurks just out of sight.

Discover What it Means to be a Hero in Kidbash: Super Legend Early Next Year!

Kyoto, Japan — May 22, 2026 | Get ready to rise, rebuild, and rediscover what it means to be a hero. During BITSummit in Kyoto, Japan, publisher Acclaim, Inc. announced that Kidbash: Super Legend, the nostalgic roguelike action-platformer developed by Indonesian indie studios Authentic Remixes and Fat Raccoon, will be published by Acclaim and released on Steam and consoles in early 2027.

Awakening in a world of forgotten game characters with no memory of his past, the hero Kidbash embarks on an emotional journey of redemption, training, and discovery.

“Kidbash grabbed all of our attention, instantly. It feels like somebody uncovered a lost action classic from the PS3/Dreamcast era and gave it a modern 2020's soul. Authentic Remixes & Fat Raccoon built something with real style, real gameplay, and a ton of personality.” said Marc Anthony Rodriguez, Director of Publishing & Strategic Partnerships at Acclaim, Inc.

“The second we saw the claymation-real “Laika-esque” vibe of the game world, the mash-up weapon combat, and the sheer energy of it all moving together, we knew this game had something special. This is exactly the kind of bold, memorable indie game Acclaim was brought back to champion!”

Paying homage to the classic adventures of Mega Man and Kirby, the game blends fast-paced action and exploration with deep roguelike progression and a charming claymation-style aesthetic that brings its vibrant characters and vibrant world to life.

The announcement is accompanied by an all-new cinematic trailer, offering a first look at Kidbash: Super Legend’s larger-than-life cast, stunning diorama-esque world, massive bosses, and never-before-seen gameplay that highlights the game’s blend of frenetic combat and expansive platforming.

Here’s what the media are saying about Kidbash: Super Legend:

“One of our favorite games on the showfloor, Kidbash was created in collaboration with Niji Games. Utilizing claymation assets and Mega Man-style run-and-gun gameplay, we hope that Kidbash will fulfil its full potential one day.”

- IGN South East Asia
“If Capcom Won’t Do It, ‘Kidbash: Super Legend’ Will. This ‘Mega Man’-Inspired Roguelike Has Its Hooks in Me”

- VICE

Key Features

  • Play as a Lost Forgotten Hero – Our hero, Kidbash, awakens with no memory of his past, only his name and a burning desire to become a hero. After failing to save the nearby village of Mandala, he seeks training from the legendary master of the mountain, Tao Shen Long, only to discover that he has disappeared.
  • Weapon Mixing – Fill the meter up as you slay enemies, and you’ll be able to combine 2 weapons to create a more powerful one, each with unique mechanics—totally not inspired by Kirby 64.

The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time - PC Review

The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time by developer and publisher Coin Drop Games - PC(Steam) review by Richard with a copy provided by the publisher

Estimated Reading Time: 5 minutes

If you are here reading this, it means one of two things: ‘a’ you saw an extremely long weird game title and were wondering what it actually was, or ‘b’ you’re interested in a puzzle solving meta JRPG stylized adventure. Either way, let’s take a look into “The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of all Time”.

Now I know what you’re thinking: “What IS the greatest RPG of all time?”, “Why is the remake only of the end?”, “What should I have for lunch tomorrow?". Well, I can sort of help you with the first two. The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of all Time, or REGOAT as I’ll refer to it from now on, is a sort of meta commentary on an old RPG the developers played when they were younger, and how they wanted to remake the magic they felt as kids. REGOAT comes complete with developer commentary and videos about the design process, a manual that has notes scribbled in it from the developers’ younger selves, as well as one of the most unironically interesting combat systems I think I’ve ever seen.

Let me clear a few things up if you’re a little confused. First of all, this is a puzzle game more than it is an RPG. Does it contain RPG elements? For sure, but it’s there more as a method for using the hints you collect to solve the puzzles that are enemies and bosses. Furthermore every combat encounter occurs at a scripted point, so you aren’t getting in any random or unintended battles. REGOAT is, ultimately, about trying to figure out what “The Greatest RPG of all Time” really is from clues obtained from manual pages, developer commentary, and dev logs collected in-game. Second, this game is a meta puzzle title, so you will have to use the developer comments, clues, and manual in order to progress. Third, the game does take place during the final portion of the RPG, so if you’re expecting the story from the rest of the RPG, you’re gonna have to look elsewhere. While you can put things together through context clues, this is at it’s heart not the real focal point of the game.

So, now that those concerns have been addressed and muddied, let’s take a look at how the game actually works and progresses, yeah? To start off, you will be dropped into the final area of a remake of an old 90’s RPG. You will walk around the areas provided interacting with developer commentary and videos, and picking up pages of the game manual. These pages of the manual, and the dev commentary and videos, contain clues on how to both defeat the enemies you encounter as well as solve the puzzles introduced throughout the game. Your most important “resource” here will be the manual pages you pick up. These pages contain not only key pieces of information for the fights, but may also contain important information to solve other problems and puzzles.

Actual combat happens at scripted moments and are puzzle fights based on the information you may have collected until that point. For example, if an enemy is weak to electric damage and you don’t have a character that specifically deals electric damage, one of the manual pages may tell you a combo move that produces electric damage. All the fights in the game revolve around finding the specific move or sequence of attacks to input in order to deal damage to the enemy. It’s actually an incredibly interesting system to be honest, and I really loved it.

The puzzles aren’t just in the fights however. You will need to input codes, activate mechanisms, and find hidden items by paying attention to your extra collectibles. A handy mechanic is that you are able to pull up the manual at any time, even in combat, in order to check to see what hints you have for the fights. Similarly, when inputting codes you can pull up the info at any time to check what you need. I do need to give a warning here however. As it turns out, if you figure out a specific mechanic, you can skip a section of the game that contains important information for later. This means you will largely be “brute forcing” the solution if you’ve missed it. Thankfully it isn’t too hard to guess any of the three solutions these hints provide, but it is a good idea to explore all the areas you can access before going to an area you got into early.

There are a lot of puzzles in this game, both hidden and overt, and even after finishing the game I discovered two hidden switches and a secret code that I haven’t been able to decipher yet, so there’s still more to discover, even after reaching a conclusion to the game! Speaking of conclusions, REGOAT has a very interesting premise and is pretty meta in it’s direction, but even I felt it got a little much towards the end. More of a personal opinion I suppose, but while I enjoyed the ending sequence from a game perspective, from a story perspective I felt it was a little much. This isn’t to say it’s bad or anything, in fact there were a lot of parts during the conclusion I liked, just be prepared going in to the game that a core premise is what the developers have been doing and not necessarily what the in-game characters have been doing.

There’s a lot of well thoughtout aspects of REGOAT, not only in the puzzles and set-up behind turning an RPG into a puzzle based system, but also in terms of the aesthetic and music direction. Both the soundtrack and visuals really sell the retro RPG aspect, and some of the “unfinished” or quirky areas sell the “college project” style that the premise of the remake is supposed to rest on. You can also tell that games such as Tunic were heavy inspirations for this game, especially if you think of hints hidden in the manual, and while I don’t think REGOAT is on the same page as Tunic was, it’s definitely captured some of the same feel without feeling like a ripoff or copycat.

Overall I have to say that The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time was a really great experience through and through. While it isn’t that long to get through the whole thing, there are plenty of other hidden aspects to discover while playing. I’m certain there are tons of things I never discovered or only halfway figured out. Definitely give this title a look if you’re interested in something that provides a more puzzle and meta based approach.

Score: 8 / 10

Burgee Media Launching Biggest Content Update for Erenshor!

Erenshor, the breakout single-player “simulated MMORPG” from solo developer Burgee Media, is preparing its biggest content update yet. Launching this summer, the new Raids Update introduces large-scale endgame raid content, bringing players face-to-face with deadly bosses, new progression systems, and the chaotic social energy of old-school MMORPG raiding - all without needing a real online party.

The update was recently spotlighted by PC Gamer, which highlighted the game’s uniquely nostalgic approach to MMO culture through its hand-coded AI-driven “SimPlayers” - persistent NPC adventurers who level, loot, socialize, and now raid alongside the player.

The upcoming Raids Update will add four full raids with more than 20 raid bosses at launch, pushing players and their SimPlayer allies into Erenshor’s most dangerous encounters yet. Players will need to build groups, manage mechanics, and survive large-scale battles inspired by the golden era of MMORPG raiding. According to community discussion surrounding the reveal, the update aims to recreate not only the triumphs of classic raid progression, but also the unpredictable personalities and drama that made early online RPG communities memorable.

Originally released into Early Access in 2025, Erenshor quickly gained attention for its unusual concept: a fully single-player RPG designed to simulate the feeling of playing an MMORPG server populated with other “players.” These SimPlayers independently level up, obtain gear, join guilds, chat with each other, and form relationships with the player over time.

Inspired heavily by classics like EverQuest, Erenshor focuses on slow progression, dangerous exploration, meaningful loot, and cooperative-style gameplay without the scheduling pressures of traditional MMOs. The game currently holds a “Very Positive” user rating on Steam, with players praising its nostalgic design philosophy and relaxing solo-friendly structure.

The new raid content marks a major milestone in Erenshor’s Early Access roadmap as the game continues expanding toward its eventual 1.0 launch. Additional details about raid systems, rewards, and future endgame features are expected closer to release.

Players can wishlist or purchase Erenshor now on Steam.

Swim with the Fish in New The Aquarium Game Headed to PC and Consoles

The Aquarium is heading to PC and consoles, offering a relaxing game that combines an aquarist simulator with adventure and exploration of the underwater world. The player can catch rare fish specimens with their own hands and collect beautiful corals. Since May 13, everyone can check out the free demo of The Aquarium on PC. The game will be released in 2026 in Early Access on PC. Later on, The Aquarium will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The game is being developed by Eiwar Games, an independent studio from Turkey. The publisher of The Aquarium is Ultimate Games S.A.

Catch, breed, and admire the underwater world!

The Aquarium is a relaxing aquarium simulator with open-world exploration elements and the ability to collect rare fish specimens. The game allows players to explore rivers, lakes, and oceans, first by boat or water scooter, and then by diving underwater in search of aquatic wonders. In The Aquarium, you can catch fish with your own hands, which requires the right approach so as not to scare the creatures away. The caught specimens are then registered in a special FishDex catalog. It is also possible to collect corals and other underwater treasures.

Running and developing your aquariums is also an important part of the game. At home, you can arrange and decorate the space however you like. The player is, of course, also responsible for feeding and breeding the fish.

The game by Eiwar Games stands out for its elements related to the life of an aquarist. In the nearby village, you can trade and interact with residents and tourists. It is also worth taking care of your rest, especially since a shower and strong coffee can improve your character attributes for the next dive.

The Aquarium gets a free demo

A free demo of The Aquarium has been available on the Steam platform since May 13. Here, the player can test the main gameplay mechanics, including discovering fishing spots from a boat and catching fish by hand. The Aquarium Demo also lets you create your own aquariums with selected decorations and plants.

As Eiwar Games announces, players will find much more content in the full version, including completely new ecosystems and advanced mechanics, such as the ability to create new species. After the Early Access release on Steam, the title will be further developed, taking into account the community's feedback and ideas.

The Aquarium – Key Features:

  • Create wonderful aquariums;
  • Dive and explore the underwater world;
  • Catch rare fish specimens and collect corals;
  • Trade and manage your aquariums;
  • Take care of the fish.

The game will debut in 2026, first on PC in Early Access. Versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles are also planned.
