Total War: WARHAMMER - Mac Review

I have historically been extremely critical of the Warhammer/Warhammer 40k franchise so when I first learned of Total War: Warhammer I was a bit skeptical. I love the Total War series and with the exception of Total War: Attila they have produced some of the best strategy titles to date. Attila was not bad, just not up to par with previous titles and that, along with the abysmally bad pile of Warhammer crap that has come out in recent years, had me seriously concerned for the franchise. Fortunately Total War: Warhammer is actually really, very good. So good that it almost washes the bad taste of over a dozen horrible Warhammer/Warhammer 40k titles out of my mouth.

LEGO Jurassic World - Mac Review

Dinosaurs. LEGOs. Those two things alone should spark the imagination of almost any kid - I certainly recall them coming together frequently in my childhood, and they seem like a perfect pairing for a video game as well. That the recent Jurassic World movie was such a huge success should only reinforce the likelihood that the game is well-received. The good news is, the video game holds up quite well as a creative, kid-friendly take on the movie.

Total War: SHOGUN 2 - Mac Review

Up until the last few years the Mac was never really seen as a gaming machine, which is sad as they have always been so powerful and efficient. I remember how huge it was that Halo was originally going to come to Apple's line of computers (only to have Microsoft gloriously sweep in and transform the title into the beloved game we have now). Ten plus years later the Apple platform is finally starting to take off, likely due to the massive mainstream popularity that the hardware has seen over the last few years. It then took time for developers to start recognizing the Mac platform as a veritable gaming rig. Fortunately along came Feral Interactive who have ported a number of top notch games over to the Apple platform (they do Linux too!) for those of us out there that wish to do a bit of gaming but have stayed away from the Windows platform.
