• NHL 27 - PS5 Review

...and I have been playing NHL games since. It didn't matter whether it was EA or another game like 2K in the 2000s; I loved hockey games and still do, but is NHL 27 a step in the right direction?

  • NBA 2K27 - PlayStation 5 Review

With these annual seasonal renewals of the sports season comes the related video games as well, and the question reviewers such as myself always face is this: Is this year’s game worth purchasing one year after the last one? My answer? Yes, absolutely. NBA fans are going to almost certainly enjoy NBA 2K27.

  • Midnight Moments - PC Steam Review

Midnight Moments is a cozy cyberpunk diorama-building game that is stunning. Unlike games that require you to complete quests or take out assailants or even solve challenging puzzles, this one only requires one thing: imagination.

  • Isle of Reveries - PC Review

Isle of Reveries is a top down 2D action adventure game that made my nostalgia for old school Zelda games flare up really hard. A good blending of puzzle, exploration, and combat, Isle of Reveries is a wonderful title to experience inside and out.

  • Outbound - PC Review

Let me tell you about this cozy game my daughter and I are playing together called Outbound. Now, I've been following this game from the initial Kickstarter back in April 2025 to its full release in May 2026. The best Mother's Day gift for myself and my first ever collector's edition in a physical copy!

  • Dread Delusion - Xbox Series X|S Review

Today we’re looking at what has rapidly become an absolute favorite in the open-world RPG genre for me. An interesting story, memorable NPCs, stunning visuals, and a setting absolutely dripping with flavor, Dread Delusion sets its tone immediately and sticks with it.

...Now Milestone, the original developer of the two Hot Wheels Unleashed games, is back, and I was hoping it would be as fun as the last two Hot Wheels games they made...

PDP AG7 True Wireless Headset for Xbox One - Hardware Review

PDP has been on a roll these last few years as they have been consistently releasing affordable gaming peripherals for consoles that get better and better with each new iteration. Our first review of one PDP products came in the form of the AGU.1S wireless headset and it became a mainstay in our arsenal of headset, even though it did have a few quirks to it when it came to the wireless receiver. Over the past 18 months or so we have watched PDP evolve, strengthening their wireless receivers, improving on the high, mid, and low outputs, and capitalizing on their expertise with long-lasting batteries.

PDP Mortal Kombat X Fight Pad (Xbox 360/Xbox One) - Hardware Review

Over the last year or so we have reviewed a number of PDP products, mostly their headsets, and they have all been received quite favorably, both by our reviewers as well as the general public. While we have used some of the PDP controllers, the PDP Mortal Kombat X Fight Pad is the first specialized controller that we have managed to get our hands on and today we have the Xbox One / Xbox 360 fight pad that we will be reviewing.

Afterglow Nur Premium Wireless Headset - Hardware Review

Over the past year we have reviewed many of the different Afterglow headsets, from the highly adequate AGU1.s headset to some of their later offerings like the Kral and Karga headsets. Needless to say, we are very big fans. Affordable price points and exceptional quality while being a bit more on the flashy side, the Afterglow gear is designed with the flashier gamer in mind, as the gear contains signature lighting and an exposed-circuitry appeal. With the release of the Nur, PDP's newest offering for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC, their signature looks are still there, but with a more refined design in an attempt to appeal to the aging gaming crowds. Does it work?

PDP Afterglow Karga Xbox One Headset - Hardware Review

With all of the excellent headsets that PDP designs for home consoles, I was eagerly anticipating the release of an Xbox One headset. When I caught wind of the Karga I was overjoyed at the prospect and needed to get my hands on one as soon as possible. In truth, I think about a bazillion other Xbox One gamers felt the same since it took some time to get a hold of, given it is one of the most affordable Xbox One headsets from a brand that has been putting out high-quality console peripherals for years now. When I came in to the shiny new package, I was absolutely pumped, stoked, excited, and could barely wait to get into the box to pull the headset out and plugged in and ready to go (if you could not tell, I was a bit excited for the headset).

Energizer 2X Charging System for Xbox One - Hardware Review

As the 2014 holiday season is right around the corner and now that the Xbox One has been out for about a year now, accessories of all shapes and sizes can be had from various manufacturers. Ever since I picked up the Xbox One I have been using good ol' AA batteries to power my controllers and it was not until recently that I was provided the Energizer Xbox One Charge System available from PDP (www.pdp.com).  Now, some of you may think I am bonkers for not picking up a play and charge kit like this, and I likely am, but I was doing fine with the AA batteries; after all, I have a young daughter so every single thing she gets requires some sort of battery. In other words, I am fairly well stocked with them.

Afterglow Kral PS4 Wireless Headset - Hardware Review

To put it bluntly, this headset is great overall. I have a hate/hate relationship with headphone and headset cables, so being able to cut the wire so to speak is awesome from my standpoint. My personal headphones are a medium range Hesh that get the job done, but far too often I have found myself damaging the cables (even when replacing them with the proprietary ones). I have had issues with cables on wired console headsets as well (though they do tend to last longer because I am sitting for the most part and not walking about the house or outside like I am with my Hesh headphones).

Afterglow Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound Wireless Headset - Hardware Review

A wireless headset can be a tricky thing. Hooking straight into a device is going to give you the best quality results in the end. Things like battery life, signal quality and the potential for interference are eliminated, allowing the headset to simply function without those potential hiccups. However, in some situations, a wireless headset simply solves a need. In my case, it is multiple devices hooked up at a television on the other side of a busy room where people are walking back and forth. A wired headset is impractical for this situation, so it was off to test the Afterglow Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound Wireless Headset which performed pretty admirably.
