• NHL 27 - PS5 Review

...and I have been playing NHL games since. It didn't matter whether it was EA or another game like 2K in the 2000s; I loved hockey games and still do, but is NHL 27 a step in the right direction?

  • NBA 2K27 - PlayStation 5 Review

With these annual seasonal renewals of the sports season comes the related video games as well, and the question reviewers such as myself always face is this: Is this year’s game worth purchasing one year after the last one? My answer? Yes, absolutely. NBA fans are going to almost certainly enjoy NBA 2K27.

  • Midnight Moments - PC Steam Review

Midnight Moments is a cozy cyberpunk diorama-building game that is stunning. Unlike games that require you to complete quests or take out assailants or even solve challenging puzzles, this one only requires one thing: imagination.

  • Isle of Reveries - PC Review

Isle of Reveries is a top down 2D action adventure game that made my nostalgia for old school Zelda games flare up really hard. A good blending of puzzle, exploration, and combat, Isle of Reveries is a wonderful title to experience inside and out.

  • Outbound - PC Review

Let me tell you about this cozy game my daughter and I are playing together called Outbound. Now, I've been following this game from the initial Kickstarter back in April 2025 to its full release in May 2026. The best Mother's Day gift for myself and my first ever collector's edition in a physical copy!

  • OVER REQUIEMZ - Nintendo Switch Review

In OVER REQUIEMZ Yuhiru is thrown into the castle of Oz and is immediately accused of trying to assassinate the King and shoved into the dungeon. Not only is she treated like a criminal...

  • Dread Delusion - Xbox Series X|S Review

Today we’re looking at what has rapidly become an absolute favorite in the open-world RPG genre for me. An interesting story, memorable NPCs, stunning visuals, and a setting absolutely dripping with flavor, Dread Delusion sets its tone immediately and sticks with it.

  • HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush - PS5 Review

...Now Milestone, the original developer of the two Hot Wheels Unleashed games, is back, and I was hoping it would be as fun as the last two Hot Wheels games they made...

  • Asdivine Knot - PS5 Review

Asdivine Knot is the latest title in the Kemco JRPG library. Following protagonist Verselio, who's on the run from the church that they once served, he'll be accompanied by an odd selection of party members as they all find a reason to band together…

  • STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT - PC Review

Our story begins in Akihabra, Tokyo Japan. The protagonist Okarin… Or rather Rintaro Okabe, (Voiced by Mamoru Minyano) is a recent high school graduate who rents an apartment with his best friend and resident computer hacker, Itaru ‘Daru’ Hashida (Voiced by Tomokazu Seki) during the summer of 2010.

Games of May 2017

It’s that time again!

Sorry for being a week late but sometimes things just don't line up the way we wish they did. Alas, here is the list!
So last week we had the following release including the long awaited Trails in the Sky 3rd Chapter. I'm a bit sad to not see a PSP/Vita release but maybe that's for the best after my Vita crashed and I lost my save data... I won't feel so bad for jumping into it on the PC!

Tuesday May 2nd

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Season Pass Disc - PS4, XB1

Last Tuesday saw the launch of both Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy from TellTale Games and the Boss' Review of the first chapter!

Flatout 4 Total Insanity - PS4, XB1

I think... that I just watched a trailer for a Mature Mario Kart. I'm intrigued to say the least.

Wednesday May 3rd

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd - PC

Before I had a chance to fall in love with Trails of Cold Steel, I was in love with Estelle, erm, Trails in the Sky! In all seriousness though Estelle is a hell of a character and I'm kicking myself for not having put her on my Top 5 Favorite female character in video games.

And now for the rest of the month!

Friday May 5th

Prey - PS4, XB1, PC

I would have to look up if the new Prey has anything to do with the old Prey. I know it's a google search away but the intrigue is much more interesting. Speaking of intrigue, hostile aliens have overrun the Talos I space station and you must use mind-bending powers and unique weapons to decide the fate of humanity.

Tuesday May 9th

Birthdays the Beginning - PS4, PC

I want plushies of all of htem. Seriously. All of them. Birthdays the Beginning is all about playing God and watching the super cute world grow. Did I mention the plushies?

Tuesday May 16th

Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy - Vita, PC

The next chapter in the New Tokyo Legacy is here. With Nick having originally reviewed it on the Vita, Richard having reviewed it on the PC, and me having played both, who's diving into the next chapter and what will we think? Come back and find out soon!

The Surge - PS4, XB1, PC

Dark Souls, Lords of the Fallen, Bloodborne and even the new upcomming Code Vein all have one thing in common that The Surge doesn't. They are fantasy settings while the The Surge has gone a high tech route. I'm hoping it works out!

Oh, Deck 13 also made Lords of the Fallen so they know what they are doing.

Akiba's Beat - PS4, Vita

Looks like the stripping days are over! This next trip to Akiba looks much more music based and seems to take itself more seriously. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out compared to stripping vampires of their clothes and stealing their weapons.

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds - Vita

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds is A remastered telling of the beloved Hakuoki series that focuses on the story set in Kyoto with Never-before-seen episodes and character routes have been added to the original version of the game, introducing more romanceable targets, new minor characters, and plenty of new paths to seek for yourself!

Injustice 2 - PS4, XB1

NetherRealm Studios are back with more DC brutality with the continuation of Injustice. If it was possible, Injustice 2 looks even better than Injustice: Gods Among Us did.

Farpoint - PSVR

Farpoint looks good and seems like one of those good reasons to have a PSVR. I have to wonder if they'll do a non-VR versions for the rest of us.

Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop - 3DS

Cooking Mama is back and I hope your sweet tooth is ready because you're going to need it!

Thursday May 18th

Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs

I've been looking forward to this one for a while. Regalia is one of those SRPGs that just looks like it's going to be good.

Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days - PC

I still remember the first time that I watched the movie. Should we have even been allowed? Heh probably not. Did we enjoy it? We certainly did.

Friday May 19th

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia - 3DS

Is it already the time for the next entry? Wow time goes by fast as I swear that the previous one just came out. This'll be one of those interesting beings as changes are being made to longtime series staples. Here's hoping that it stays just as good and innovates forwards!

Tuesday May 23rd

Don't Starve Mega Pack - PS4, XB1

It's big. It's bad. It's back for some crazy time with your friends, the rein of giants and maybe some shipwrecks!

Disgaea 5 Complete - Switch

Not quite the platform any of us were really expecting but we'll take it dood! Going over to the Nintendo Switch instead of the Vita, could that be some foreshadowing of even NIS moving away from it? I doubt it after a few of their recent releases such as A Rose in the Twilight but it makes one wonder.

Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada - PS4

There are some good titles coming out this month and what better to add to the batch than more Samurai Warriors!?! I can't think of anything.

Portal Knights - PS4, XB1

This is one of those smaller interesting titles on the list this month. Using the classic Trinity of classes dive through multitudes of portals and have fun!

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception - PS4, Vita

Try saying that title three times fast! With the release date just around the corner the good news is that there's more to come this fall!

Summon Night 6: Lost Borders - PS4

The latest in the Summon Night series is coming out! Pack up your PSPs and dust off your Vitas or get your PS4s ready as it's right around the corner!

Friday May 26th

Friday the 13th: The Game - PC

I... I'm not quite sure what to think. Shouldn't this have waited for Halloween or something?

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers - Switch

I don't think I've anything to say. Here's another *insert echoes here* version of Street Fighter II.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 - PS4

Here's another fighter that doesn't need any introductions and the latest entry of the series is here.

Tuesday May 30th

RiME - PC

I was a huge fan of Tequila Works' Deadlight. It was awesome. RiME is looking good for a whole other set of reasons and the gorgeous artstle mixed in with adventure elements is one that I want to play.

Aven Colony - PS4, XB1

Aven Colony makes me think of a somewhat crazier version of Ubisoft's acquired Anno.

Star Trek Bridge Crew - PSVR, PC (VR)

Speaking of Ubisoft, and entirely unintended, they've got a VR version of playing out Star Trek's Bridge crew.

Lock's Quest - PS4, XB1, PC

I had never heard of this until recently much less having known that it was originally on the DS. That's right. The first one. Revamped for the new generation of home consoles and the PC I'm looking forward to it.

The trailer is also awesome. Skip to 1:00 if nothing else!

Wednesday May 31st

Cladun Returns: This Is Sengoku! - PS4 , Vita

Finally on the very last day of the month Cladun Returns with This Is Sengoku! making one hell of a leap from the PSP to the PS4 and the PSV. I'm looking quite forward to this one!

Games of April 2017

It's that time again!

This month is going to be a good one with games like Persona 5, Dragon Quest Warriors II, Dawn of War III and A Rose in the Twilight.

Tuesday April 4th

LEGO City Undercover - PS4, XB1, Switch

It's been a long time in coming but LEGO City Undercover is making its way from the WiiU over to the PS4, XB1 and Switch almost five years later. Better late than never?

Persona 5 - PS3, PS4

It's here! It's finally here! Atlus' Person 5 launches tomorrow. If you haven't had a chance to experience this slice of life crazy dungeon crawling JRPG series by this point. Now would be a good time to start.

ArmaGallant: Decks of Destiny - PS4

ArmaGallant looks interesting for fans of Deck building games as you can battle other players either as a 1v1 or even as 2v2 but in an RTS / MOBA like setting. It looks quite interesting.

Friday April 7th

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition - PS4, XB1, PC

This is still quite very much on my to-do list. It has been out for a very long time on the previous generation. I have it sitting in my backlog pile. I just never got around to it and probably should have. New versions are always a good excuse no?

Tuesday April 11th

A Rose In The Twilight - Vita, PC

A Rose in the Twilight is the latest in the graphical vien of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary and Yomawari: Night Alone. Dive into a somber world as a girl who has been cursed with a throne on her back travels with a giant who looks like a snail's shell. Will they manage to make it out together? They'll have to as neither can make it on their own.

Stardew Valley (Physical release) - PS4, XB1

Here is another item on my to-do list that I have not yet touched. It's released on Steam, it's released on the PSN and now? Now it's getting a shiny new box to sit in the real world. I've got to get around to playing this...

Starblood Arena VR - PSVR

The name pretty much says it all. I'll eventually invest in a VR headset as these games look cool but unfortunately I've got to pass for now. Have one? Starblood Arena looks like it's worth diving into.

Yooka-Laylee - PS4, XB1, PC

This name didn't mean that much to me at first other than "huh that looks like a cute N64 ~ PS2 era game. Then I saw that it comes from the creative talent behind the Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country games. I hope that it shapes up to be on the same level as those past masterpieces!

Wednesday April 12th

The Sexy Brutale (digital only) - PS4, XB1, PC

I'm letting the page speak for itself. It has my attention though:

"Set during a single, endlessly-looping day within "The Sexy Brutale" – a stately English mansion converted into a bizarre casino and named by the enigmatic Marquis – players take on the role of elderly priest Lafcadio Boone. To progress, Boone must hide, watch and learn the colorful stories of the other guests at the ball in order to save them from grisly deaths at the hands of the mansion's staff. By discovering the key moments and methods how each guest can be saved and gaining occult-seeming powers linked to their masks, Lafcadio is able to explore deeper and deeper into the mysteries of the mansion's past and inhabitants to uncover the truth hidden at the heart of The Sexy Brutale."

Tuesday April 18th

Runbow Pocket Deluxe Edition - 3DS

It took me a moment to look at the trailer to really get it but Runbow has an awesome concept. "Swipes of color change the world! If you cna't see it, it doesn't exist." With the colors that can move across the screen on their own, it looks like a good bit of fun for the 3DS.

The Silver Case - PS4

A long time in coming from it's original PlayStation version back in 1999, The Silver Case is making its return on the PS4.

Monday April 24th

PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness - PC

Like a few others such as Operation Abyss, some of the Atelier Series and Danganronpa, PSYCHO-PASS is now seeing a PC release to hit the trifecta of available platforms. Would it hit a Nintendo console? Maybe we'll find out with the Switch.

Tuesday April 25th

Puyo Puyo Tetris - PS4, Switch

If you ask me any Tetris is a good Tetris. If there's one thing any kid should grow up playing it's this as it helps for quick decision making and motor controls. I'm serious! That and as funny to say it's my grandmother that taught me how to play this which is funny because the interface burnt into her tv screen.

All that said, here's Tetris with some cute thrown into the mix with multiple game modes and designs.

Outlast Trinity - PS4, XB1

Fan of horror games? Haven't sat down to Outlast, Outlast 2 or the DLC to Outlast? Now's your chance as they are all being packaged together and physically!

Outlast 2 - PC

In the extra same vein as above, haven't played Outlast and you're a PC user? Outlast 2 is making its way there!

Valhalla Hills - PS4, XB1

I linked the title to the Steam page since the main website wasn't working over the weekend for some reason. Maybe the Vikings broke that as well on their way to bang on the doors of Asgard in which they have just been denied. Making its way over to the consoles from the PC this is definitely a title worth looking into as I quite enjoyed it on the PC.

Edit: It just takes a long time to load, Valhalla Hills Website

Dragon Quest Heroes II - PS4, PC

I was a big fan of the first and I am quite looking forward to the second. With new heroes to enjoy your quest with, jump back into a Warriors (Musou) styled experience with the wonderfully colored world of Dragon Quest.

Lock's Quest - PS4, XB1, PC

There are games depending on when they release that we can entirely miss and Lock's Quest is one of these. Having released almost a decade ago on the DS it's back for the current generation of home consoles.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 - PS4, XB1, PC

I'm not sure I've even heard of SGW or SGW2... that said I'm intrigued by the gameplay.

Syberia 3 - PS4, XB1, PC

This is a series that I've been looking at for a long time now and think maybe it should be a good time to jump into it since the third is launching later this month.

Thursday April 27th

Expeditions: Viking - PC

I think Ragnarok is coming... Between the Wolves of Midgard last month, Valhalla Hills earlier this month and now more Vikings? Somethings up and we should be well prepared!

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III - PC

Having just sat down to the Dawn of War II - Master Collection I'm more than ready for Dawn of War 3. I'm just glad that the series is being continued under someone new after THQ went under.

Friday April 28th

Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop - 3DS

Cooking Mama is back and this time I hope your sweet tooth is ready!

Little Nightmares - PS4, XB1, PC

I'm not one for Horror Games but Little Nightmares with its platforming and interesting concepts may have me terrifying myself soon enough.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Switch

*sighs* I liked Mario Kart 8 but I would have much rather prefered a Mario Kart 9? Best of? Something new for hte new console instead of another port. Seriously Nintendo don't screw this generation of your console up.

Period: Cube - Shackles of Amadeus - Vita

Last on the list is a new Visual Novel from Idea Factory and Akss Games.
"In search of your older brother's whereabouts, you join the online RPG, "Arcadia" in search of clues. Having lost consciousness after being drawn into a mysterious light, you wake up within the game's fantasy world! Confused and shaken by your strange yet familiar surroundings, you learn that the only way to escape this world of life-or-death is to clear the game. As the gameworld begins to crumble and fall apart, you gain the status of the "Shinken" (divine sword), key to clearing the game, and become targeted by hordes of enemies."

Games of March 2017

It's that time again!

March has rolled around and with it the last entries of Styx, Atelier, Nier, Mass Effect, Toukiden, The Legend of Zelda and Vikings: Wolves of Midgard which is something that I've personally been looking forward to for a while now.

With Zelda releasing on both the WiiU and the new Switch that launched on the same day tomorrow, are you picking one up or keeping to the "legacy" system in order to experience Link's latest adventure. Chalgyr's Game Room will be covering The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on both of these systems and bringing you what we thought of this latest Hyrulian adventure later this month!

Friday March 3rd

Nintendo Switch

Nintendo's newest home console comes out tomorrow. If it can be supported more than they did the WiiU which was essentially left to its own abismal devices it could be boost that they need to get back into the game. I personally loved the concept of the WiiU having used it more for playing the older Wii RPGs with the needed CPU boost. With the Switch eseentially looking like a WiiU Gamepad with removable sides, I just hope that it lives up to expectations. Who doesn't want to take their home console on the go with them?

Check back later this month for our coverage on the system!

Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack - Switch

At this point it only makes sense for the Skylanders to grace the newest console. I figure Lego Dimensions shouldn't be too too far behind.

Just Dance 2017 - Switch

I would have liked more new titles for the Switch's launch but like the Skylanders it makes sense to have some titles that people already know and that may either may have been holding out on or would like to get for a party night.

1-2-switch - Switch

Something new on the lineup is a quick switch up styled party game. It could be interesting but the real party game is coming up next!

Super Bomberman R - Switch

Everyone loves a good old versus and there's still almost nothing better than a good round of Bomberman. Not having really had a good shot at the limelight since the PS3 version years ago now, dust off your fingers and dust your "friends" Super Bomberman R!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Switch, Wii U

I've been looking forward to the newest entry for a long while now. With it coming out on both the WiiU and the Switch I personally will be playing both. While we will be separately reviewing both versions we will also be doing a comparason for this once exlcusive WiiU title that was supposed to use the gamepad to its full extent.

Tuesday March 7th

Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey - PS4

The newest Atelier is just around the corner. Having just gone through Atelier Shallie Plus and Sophie on the PC recently I'm more than ready and excited to jump into the newest with Firis for another fun Alchemic adventure.

LEGO Worlds - PS4, XB1

I thought it was weird when I saw LEGO Worlds on the list of releases for the month. Thinking to myself "didn't this come out years ago?" it did as an Early Access title that Breanna covered back in July of 2015. Guess the full release is here!

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands - PS4, XB1, PC

Fan of the last genius' literary work, I never really got into the video game adaptations of his work. Ghost Recon Wildlands may change that this month as this look amazing. Maybe I should go play The Division first though...

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 - PS4, XB1

It's been a good six years since MvC3 came out on the PS3. It would be interesting to see what Nick thinks of the newest version compared to the orignal that he reviewed back in 2011 and the ultimate version back in 2014.

NieR: Automata - PS4

It's finally here! I'm a huge fan of the original on both the PS3 and the 360 and played the "living snot" out of both of them. I had started to play the demo when it became available but held back after two minutes realizing that I didn't want to actually spoil this one.

Tuesday March 14th

Danganronpa 1-2 Reload - PS4

I have both of these on my Vita and have still yet to actually load them which makes me a little sad as I still haven't found the time to do so. Maybe I'll just skip to the PS4 versions as I've only heard amazing things and Nick was a big fan of both the first and the second.

Styx: Shards of Darkness - PS4, XB1, PC

It took a while for me to get used to how to handle Styx when I was originally introduced to him. Having since played of Orc's and Men where he made his actual debut (and acts as a sequel to Master of Shadows in which I covered the PS4 and Robert hte XB1 versions) I can say that I've been looking very forward to this scarcastic short green goblin's latest adventure.

Friday March 17th

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth + - Switch

This one has been around for a while. Seeing a re-re-re release at this point with the Switch? I may want to actually try it out before Rémi gives me another lecture on how good it is.

Tuesday March 21st

Toukiden 2 - PS4, Vita

Here's an entry on the list that a few us have been looking forward to. Nick, Richard and myself were all fans of the orignal and have been looking forward to the open world version of the Japanese Monster Hunter-like.

Mass Effect Andromeda - PS4, XB1, PC

This can go either way. I'm still looking forward to it though as I'm intrigued at what they plan to do without a central character at the helm. Well named central character anyways.

Touhou Genso Wanderer - PS4, Vita

Been needing a bit of Roguelike in your diet? Touhou is finally releasing outside of Japan for the first time. Jump on it!

Anima: Gate of Memories - Beyond Fantasy Edition - PS4

I quite enjoyed Anima: Gate of Memories last summer so I'm happy to see it get a physical release for the PS4.

Troll and I - PS4, XB1

Troll and I looks interesting. It's been a while since I've seen a new single player "co-op" game so it definitely has my attention.

Wednesday March 21st

This Is the Police - PS4, XB1

"This Is the Police is a strategy/adventure game set in a city spiraling the drain. You'll come face to face with the ugly underbelly of Freeburg, taking the role of gritty Police Chief Jack Boyd (portrayed by Jon St. John, the voice of Duke Nukem).

Dive into a deep story of corruption, crime and intrigues. You are taking the role of gritty Police Chief Jack Boyd – you'll come face to face with the ugly underbelly of Freeburg, a city spiraling the drain. Will Jack see his retirement with a nice sum of money waiting to be spend or will he end up broken … or even worse?"

Friday March 24th

Mario Sports Superstars - 3DS

I guess this had to happen at some point. Kind of surprised that they didn't make it for the Switch for a living room couch versus though.

Zero Escape The Nonary Games - PS4, Vita, PC

All I know is that these games are in a league of their own. I've heard of many different kinds of gamers speak about them and they've all enjoyed the various entries. Zero Escape or 999 your thing? Here's your next one.

Monday March 27th

Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy - PC

I'm ashamed to say that Operation Abyss is something that I've completed the tutorial of and have not been back since and not for the lack of want. Nick reviewed it favorably back on the Vita and I'm happy to see that developers continue to port these over to the PC for all of those without a console that would love to try these out.

NISA Vita Trailer

Tuesday March 28th

The new Baseball season is starting off and the newest game entries are coming out for your personal home running action!

RBI Baseball 2017 - PS4, XB1

MLB The Show 17 - PS4

Vikings: Wolves of Midgard - PS4, XB1, PC

Wolves of Midgard hit my radar a while back. Single Player Hack and Slash with couch coop based in a Nordic setting? I was sold.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix - PS4

Annnnnnnnd here I thought that I would finally be sitting down and finishing my 2.5 Remix on the PS3 then they go and mash it all onto the PS4. Not that it's a bad thing for those that don't have it... at all... but how about we just release KH3 before the apocalypse please?

Has-Been Heroes - PS4, XB1, Switch, PC

This is a huge departure from Trine's Platforming. Being Frozenbyte though? I'm definitely looking into this one!

GOD WARS Future Past - PS4, Vita

With everything that I already want this month? This sits ontop of the pile as I've really been wanting to sit down to an SRPG for a while now. Not that much longer!

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition - Wii U

A little late to the party is the remastered edition of the first Darksiders which sees War voiced by the epic Liam O'Brien exploring the ruins of our world after inadvertently starting the Apocalypse.

Friday March 31st

Deformers - PS4, XB1, PC

Ready at Dawn... Ready at Dawn... rings a bell *googles it* WHAT!?!?! This is what they've done after The Order? Really? Looks awesome but I really wanted a new entry into The Order...

Games of February 2017

It's that time again!

This month has a few heavy releases from Nioh which we've been able to take several looks at with our final one coming in right before the release date with our time on the "Final Chance" Demo just last weeekend. Throwing in some more weight is the latest in the Musou releases with Berserk and Ubisoft's interesting versus For Honor that had its closed Beta just this past weekend.

Friday Feburary 3rd

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto Expansion - PS4, XB1, PC

Having come out a year ago, Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is getting an expansion with Naruto's son Boruto at the helm. Haven't picked it up in a while? Now's your chance!

Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World - 3DS

The awesome dinosaur is back for another of his solo adventures. Sticking to his newer and adorable yarn form Yoshi is being joined by Poochy on the 3DS later this week.

Monday February 6th

Nintendo every now and then re-release older titles in new packages at lower prices for anyone that's been holding out. This month is seeing two such re-releases with both

Kirby Triple Deluxe (Nintendo Selects re-release) - 3DS

and

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (Nintendo Selects re-release) - 3DS

Tuesday Feburary 7th

Nioh - PS4

It's finally here. After two Demos (Alpha and Beta) in order to collect feedback and offer DLC to those that completed the challenges, Nioh even had a Last Chance Demo just last week (Impressions incoming) in order to obtain the Marks of the Conqueror and Strong one last time. Well the waiting is just about over. Just one more week!

WWE 2K17 - PC

Having reviewed the Xbox One version back in November when it released on consoles, WWE 2K17 like many other titles of late is going over to the PC. Don't have a console and been looking forward to it? Now's your chance. In the meantime take a look at what Robert had to say!

Tuesday February 14th

Earthlock : Festival of Magic (physical release) - PS4

Earthlock has been out digitally for a little while now and is seeing a physical PS4 release. Having played it on the Xbox One I can say that it's a decent RPG that definitely has that PS2 throwback feel.

Ride 2 - PS4, XB1

Having already been out in multiple parts of the globe, Ride 2 is releasing in North America for some fast two wheeled riding with plenty of tight turns.

For Honor - PS4, XB1, PC

I was sadly too busy to sit down to the Closed Beta but on the bright side I've been able to watch my brother and other streamers play and For Honor so far is looking good. Still not sure who I want to fight for though...

Sniper Elite 4 - PS4, XB1, PC

The lastest Sniper Elite is coming out. Chris H. favorably reviewed the third entry and hopefully the newest meets his expectations!

Wednesday February 15th

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 + Arcade Game Series - PS4

Looks like the yellow ball like eating figure is coming back for another championship edition with some extras.

Thursday February 16th

Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf - PC Early Access

Seeing another Warhammer release is an older one making its way from the mobile platforms over to the PC. Why Early Access however I'm not sure as it's been out for years now...

Tuesday February 21st

The Walking Dead - The Telltale Series: A New Frontier (physical release) - PS4, XB1

Nick enjoyed his time with the the start of the third season which is seeing a physical release after only two episodes. This physical edition contains the first episode on the disc with the season pass for the rest as they see their releases over the rest of the year.

Professional Farmer 2017 - PS4, XB1

I wasn't sure about this but apparently it's different than Farming Simulator? Leaves more choice in the field I suppose.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk - PS4

Both Nick and I are suckers for a good Musou experience and after playing both Arslan: The Warrior of Legend and Hyrule Warriors / Hyrule Warriors Legends I have no reservations on Omega Force / Tecmo KOEI knocking another one out of the park with the Berserk series.

Halo Wars 2 - XB1

After several years 343 has resurected Halo Wars with this being the second installment into the RTS approach to the Halo universe. I am surprised to not see a PC release right away bring an RTS but that may come along sooner or later.

Tuesday February 28th

Horizon Zero Dawn - PS4

While I've still got a Killzone or two to catch up on Breanna is getting ready to steal our main gaming space in order to explore this fantastic looking world with weird hybrid machines animals. I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays while I tackle Nioh and Berserk.

Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns - 3DS

After both Natsume and Marvelous went their seperate ways I've been having trouble keeping track of the possible farming possibilities. The bright side? There's now twice the amount of farming simulators available! I still miss Rune Factory though...

Torment: Tides Of Numenera - PS4, XB1, PC

Those of the lands of the PC have been able to already jump on this incredible looking game. In an odd twist, and a good one at that, Torment is coming over to the consoles. I'm looking forward to jumping into this on a PS4 as it's been a long time since I've played Planescape Torment alongside IceWind Dale.

Games of January 2017

I would love to say that "It’s that time again!" but we are a bit later this month. Coming in near the end of the month however isn't all that bad as it hasn't been a heavy one and the important titles? Dragon Quest VIII on the 3DS just released this past friday and the best title of the month? Tales of Berseria comes out tomorrow!

Earlier this month and out now

Criminal Girls: Invite Only - PC

With Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors having released not that long before the end of the year, it's predecesor has made it's way over to the PC like many other of NIS/NISA's titles. Didn't have a Vita and missed out on this Dungeon Crawler? Now's your chance to jump on it!

(PSV Trailer)

Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star - PS4, Vita

The next Fate exeprience has recently released and here's what it's all about:

Automaton is a spiritron computer, which exists on the moon and has the power to grant any wish. All across the spiritron-constructed virtual world, SE.RA.PH., Servants and the Masters who control them fight for the right to be the Moon Cell Automaton's one owner in a ceremonial conflict known as the Holy Grail War.

Now, the Servant Nero Claudius and her Master have won the Holy Grail War and have obtained the universal wishing mechanism, the Holy Grail.

They also obtained the Regalia, a ring that proves their kingship. With it, they rule over their once-enemy Servants and start a new beginning on the moon's new world.

But a new enemy has appeared before them. And this enemy has something that shouldn't exist: another Regalia.

Gravity Rush 2 - PS4

Still searching for clues behind the mystery of her origin, Kat must master three unique gravity attack styles as she takes on a new danger emerges to threaten the fabric of the universe itself.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King - 3DS

Dragon Quest VIII is where I started in the series after renting it for no other reason than playing the Final Fantasy XII demo at the time. Falling in love with both it and the series since then, it's seeing its second re-release with the first being for both the iOS and Android platforms. Best part is that the voice acting is back which was a dissapointment to have seen removed from the mobile versions alongside new features.

Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle

Alright. This. This right here is the most naltolgic thing on this month's list. I grew up with the Power Rangers on TV and this Brawler goes all the right back to the beginning with the original five and then adds in the Green and White (DLC) Rangers. Hell the putties make that hilarious noise and I swear it's Rita's original voice as she screams at you!

Tuesday January 24th

Tales of Berseria - PS4

Tales of Berseria - PC January 26th

A good portion of the team are fans of the Tales of series. Nick, Robert, Richard, and myself I know are going to be pretty busy throwing as much time as we can into this latest of the series which also finds itself being a few hundred years prior prequel to Zestiria. Thankfully we've only had to wait two years between releases!

Resident Evil 7 biohazard - PS4, XB1, PC

I have to be one of the biggest chickens on the team when it comes to horror and I can't wait to get my hands on this. Resisdent Evil going back to it's roots from the run and gun that's it's become and I'm excited to possibly be scared to death. <- I will NOT be playing this alone or in the dark!

Yakuza 0 - PS4

The Yakuza series is seeing its newest entry which acts as a prequel to the rest of the series and it's looking good.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue - PS4

I swear that I'm never actually going to see Kingdom Hearts 3 as the appocalypse has more chances to occur first. 2.8 is putting the last titles into HD while also giving us a brand new experience with Aqua who was one of the three main characters from Birth by Sleep which is one of my favorite PSP games.

Monday January 30th

Disgaea 2 - PC

Like Disgaea before it, Phantom Brave, and Criminal Girls above, Disgaea 2 is seeing a PC release. Join in on Adell and Rozalin's adventure as Adell tries to bring her back to Overlord Zenon, in which he's got a bone to pick with anyways. There's only one problem. He's afraid to be touched by girls!

Tuesday January 31st

Conan Exiles (Early Access) - PC

While it may have been cheesy watching it when I was a bit older, I still enjoyed the original Conan the Barbarian. Set in that same world is an open world survival that will allow you to play either on your own server or with others for both better or worse online. Think ARK Survival Evolved.

Digimon World: Next Order - PS4

Digimon World: Next Order is the latest Digimon to come out way after Cyber Sleuth. Unlike the awesome RPG however this time things are in real time. Can you once again save the Digiworld?

Hitman: The Complete First Season (physical release) - PS4, XB1

Hitman came back last year in an episodic way which is seeing the physical release of the entire season of content. Six episodes alongside bonus missions and DLC will be up for grabs for any fan that's been holding on for a full package.

Games of December 2016

It’s that time again!

Well it was. The start of December seemed so far away and then BAM. American Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and then Zombies. Zombies you ask? Dead Rising 4 is here and it takes ALL the above and wraps it up into a new package while taking everything back to the beginning. Poor Frank.

Zombies not your thing around Christmas time? Then The Dwarves should certainly have you covered!

Thursday December 1st

The Dwarves - PS4, XB1, PC

"The Dwarves" not to be mistakenly googled with the dwarves (a band with NSFW album covers and well just all around NFSW material) is an amazing looking kickstarted product that puts a bunch of Dwarves (who would have guess right?) into an RTS. Based off of the novel series "The Dwarves" in which I just found out while writing this which is cool since I'm currently reading the first one, take control of fifteen playable heroes in real-time strategy scenarios that will require a bit of tactics to make it through.

Deponia - PS4

Deponia has been around for ages now having released back in 2012 on the PC. Coming over to consoles is this crazy ride from Daedalic Entertainment which should not be passed up on.

We Sing - PS4

We sing is an excuse over to the holiday to merrily sing with friends, or shatter glass depending on how well you sing, for hours at a time.

Friday December 2nd

Steep - PS4, XB1, PC

Tired of sitting inside when it's snowing outside? Wish you could just take to the hills? Snowing too much to make it to those hills? Strap yourself into your couch, make sure that your controller is charged, and hit the steep hills from the comfort of your own living room.

Super Mario Maker - 3DS

Some fans had already been making some rather crazy Super Mario levels for a while until Nintendo made it easy releasing an editor that could upload custom levels for others to try. Now no longer having to be home for that Super Mario Maker is now going to be portable on the 3DS.

Tuesday December 6th

Werewolves Within VR - PSVR / PC (Oculus Rift / HTC Vive)

Werewolves Within makes me think of a social game apparently called "The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow" in English. We just call it Loup Garou (Werewolf in French). Sounds like a lot of fun with visuals and a heads up display as each player is given a role. There's only one real rule, survive. Are you a human or are you a werewolf? Only you know.

The Last Guardian - PS4

Sooooo apparently it's not vaporware in the end. After all these years The Last Guardian, like Final Fantasy Versus XIII now XV has arrived. It has a lot to live up to. Here's hoping that it can.

Dead Rising 4 - XB1, PC

Dashing through the snow, with ornament launchers on your sleigh, through the hordes we go, raking in Power Points all the way! Dead Rising 4 brings back not only the iconic Frank West but also brings him back to where it all started. Does this grouchy middle aged man have what it takes? Oh yeah.

Tuesday December 13th

Wild Guns Reloaded - PS4

Wild Guns Reloaded is definitely a throwback as the original launched twenty years ago on the Super Nintendo. Back for another round are Annie and her hire Clint as she seeks revenge on those that killed her family.

Shantae Half-Genie Hero - PS4, Vita, Wii U

Shantae has had many releases on many platforms and the fourth title which was Kickstarted a couple years ago now is finally here. More Shantae? Yes Please!

Tuesday December 20th

Eagle Flight - PC (VR only)

Having originally launched for the PSVR, Eagle Flight is now moving over to the PC and will be accessible for anyone that has a VR Headset. Have fun boss!

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - PS3, PS4, 360, XB1, PC, iOS, Android - (episode 1 digital only)

Finally last on our list is more Zombies! I swear I'm off to watch the Nightmare Before Christmas after I finish writing this. Four years have passed since the start of everything. Put in the shoes of a new character Javier, Clementine will make another appearance as she's really the center role of Telltale's adventure isn't she?

That's it for this month and this year!

Be safe, have fun gaming, and enjoy which ever celebrations come your way!

Games of November 2016

It’s that time again!

Looks like it may finally be here. Most people don't even need to ask what by this point. Final Fantasy XV will have a huge bar to live up to for a game that's been in development for about a decade. It's been scrapped, it's been re-written, it's been everywhere but in our hands. The demo from Final Finatasy Type-0 was fun but can the rest live up to that?

With a new Harvest Moon, Pokemon, and Mario Party alongside remakes like Darksiders and Assassin's Creed, this month may be smaller than the rest but it has some awesome titles incoming. Personally? Super Dungeon Bros looks epic alongside the side scrolling Earth's Dawn!

Tuesday November 1st

BlazBlue: Central Fiction - PS3, PS4

First up this month we have a new BlazBlue! Here's a bit on it before the trailer:

Aksys Games and Arc System Works proudly announce that BlazBlue: Central Fiction will release Winter 2016 in North America physically and digitally on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. BlazBlue: Central Fiction is the newest installment in the storied BlazBlue franchise and stands alone as the pinnacle of next gen 2D fighters! Like a well-timed 2D punch, BlazBlue: Central Fiction bashes massive amounts of content and innovation into one slick title that hits hard and keeps the pummeling steady! Prepare yourself for a brand new story, new characters, levels, modes, system mechanics and more! Choose from over 33 unimaginable fighters as you battle for 2D supremacy!

and here's the PSN Blog Post from Aksys back in August

Earth's Dawn - PS4

Earth's Dawn was originally supposed to be launched last month however I'm leaving it up on the list instead of as a mention bellow because unlike those this is both a new title and secondly it looks awesome. I love sidescrolling brawlers.

Super Dungeon Bros - PS4, XB1

Supposed to have to come back out in September, I'm also leaving this on the list as I'll be personally covering it. The best part? I'll be getting my brothers together in order to see who's the most super out of us all.

Sadly none of us are named Franky.

Friday November 4th

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - PS4, XB1, PC

The newest COD is here. I'll be honest that I'm not really a FPS player most of the time and I've barely touched this series. Will it be a good direction for the series after the Modern and Advance Warefare? Time will tell!

Mario Party Star Rush - 3DS

I love a good Mario Party like the next person but I wish this would have been at least on the Wii U because sadly I'm one of the only one of my friends that live close to each other that owns a 3DS AND who would want to play.

Tuesday November 8th

Harvest Moon: Skytree Village - 3DS

I'm glad that even after the split that we are still getting Harvest Moons. Thankfully the next one is here for all your non RPG farming needs!

Marvel Pinball: Epic Collection Volume 1 - PS4, XB1

The Boss Man is in for a treat this month with a newer version of Marvel Pinball from the previous one on the PS3. I would personally have to get my hands on one of these or a physical one for the basement that doens't cost a mortgage payment...

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization - PS4, Vita

Sword Art is back with an all new story that was crafted under the supervision of the original author. Love the series and have been waiting for the next installment? Here it is!

Robinson: The Journey - PSVR

It's times like this that I wish I had a VR headet. Alas I'll have to wait for From Software's project before jumping on that wagon. It does look great though!

Thursday November 10th

Root Letter - PS4, Vita

Fans of visual novels have something to look forward to this month with Root Letter which is about solving a decade old murder.

Dishonored 2 - PS4, XB1, PC

I still really need to go through and play the original. No time like the present as the sequel is here!

Tuesday November 15th

Eagle Flight - PSVR

More to the PSVR category this month is Ubisoft's Eagle Flight.

Overcooked Gourmet Edition - PS4, XB1

I've been hearing great to amazing things about Overcooked from friends and fellow colleagues alike. With a physical release inbound maybe it's time for some local mayhem to happen around here!

Watch Dogs 2 - PS4, XB1

PC releases November 29th

The original Watch Dogs had interesting concepts. Not to let it fall quietly into the night here's the sequel!

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection - PS4, XB1

For all those that either haven't played, played and wated to go back again in a higher definition, Ezio is back. Now if I can just finish Assassin's Creed 2 back on the PS3 and continue the series I'll be happy. Ah backlogs.

The Walking Dead - The Telltale Series: A New Frontier - PS3, PS4, 360, XB1

Still needing to play the Season 2, Telltale is back with a new installation of The Walking Dead. I'm happy to know that Clementine is still alive. While I don't watch TV, I do know how Season 7 of the show started so here's hoping for no parallels.

Thursday November 17th

Planet Coaster - PC

Nick has already had a chance to take a look at Planet Coaster and here were his final thoughts on it:

"Sure, we have a little ways to go until the game is ready to go, but what I have gotten to see so far has made me incredibly optimistic that Planet Coaster could be one of the best simulation games in quite some time. Those looking for a proper RollerCoaster Tycoon game will likely want to check this title out when it releases next month."

Friday November 18th

Pokemon Sun and Moon - 3DS

There are a few of us on the team that are fans of this long running RPG Grind Heavy series. Yes they are cute, but they are also very powerful and there's nothing better than mowing through your opponents to prove that you're a better trainer than they are!

Killing Floor 2 - PS4

The Killing Floor 2 released on the PC a while back. Launching for the first time on the consoles step into a crazy ride of FPS survival against some rather insane "things".

Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition - PS4, XB1

Been holding off on Battlefront until the Season Pass content all came to pass? Now's the time!

Tuesday November 22nd

Darksiders Warmastered Edition - PS4, XB1

After the Deathinitive Edition of the second entry I could have only HOPED for a remake of the first. Wishes were granted because here it is. Also? The newly renamed THQNordic rock.

Tuesday November 29th

The Crew Ultimate Edition - PS4, XB1

The Crew are back for a slew of crazy driving stunts and awesome looking vehicles.

Final Fantasy XV - PS4, XB1

Finally this month, la piece de resistance.

Can this live up to everything that some of us have been hoping for over the past decade? T-Minus 28 days.

Note: Several releases such as Tumblestone, The Atari Classics, The SteamWorld Collection, Runbow: Deluxe Edition, Cartoon Network Battle Crashers, We Sing and Steins;Gate 0 can be found between some of the lists from previous months as they were either fully pushed back or were console specific delayed.
