I am quite new to the world of Mage Wars, but I recently had a chance to play Mage Wars Arena with Chris from the team and we both immediately loved it. There is a bit of a learning curve there, given just how much there is to do, but at the end of the day it was arguably the most entertaining board game either one of us have ever played. So you can imagine my excitement at getting to play the upcoming expansion as well.

Mage Wars Arena may be one of the deepest games of its nature, with a combination of board game elements and card elements that remind me of Magic: The Gathering - a CCG I have a great deal of experience with. There is a great deal to take in with this game, but it provides an excellent dueling experience for those looking for some competitive tabletop gameplay.
Sheriff of Nottingham - Tabletop and Board Games Review
Many board games put you in roles where you are competing with other players, but in a very indirect fashion. These tend to have minimal interactions that impede the progress of others. Some games turn the tables and you only progress by directly hindering an opponent. Sheriff of Nottingham is closer to the latter, but with a few unique twists, this game of bluffing and roleplay stands out for its simple design but addicting gameplay.
Mage Wars is getting a 4th edition sooner than later
The popular board game Mage Wars by Arcane Wonders is slated for an update to their core set. In the coming months, fans will be able to partake of new board and spellbook designs and more.
