• NHL 27 - PS5 Review

...and I have been playing NHL games since. It didn't matter whether it was EA or another game like 2K in the 2000s; I loved hockey games and still do, but is NHL 27 a step in the right direction?

  • NBA 2K27 - PlayStation 5 Review

With these annual seasonal renewals of the sports season comes the related video games as well, and the question reviewers such as myself always face is this: Is this year’s game worth purchasing one year after the last one? My answer? Yes, absolutely. NBA fans are going to almost certainly enjoy NBA 2K27.

  • Midnight Moments - PC Steam Review

Midnight Moments is a cozy cyberpunk diorama-building game that is stunning. Unlike games that require you to complete quests or take out assailants or even solve challenging puzzles, this one only requires one thing: imagination.

  • Isle of Reveries - PC Review

Isle of Reveries is a top down 2D action adventure game that made my nostalgia for old school Zelda games flare up really hard. A good blending of puzzle, exploration, and combat, Isle of Reveries is a wonderful title to experience inside and out.

  • Outbound - PC Review

Let me tell you about this cozy game my daughter and I are playing together called Outbound. Now, I've been following this game from the initial Kickstarter back in April 2025 to its full release in May 2026. The best Mother's Day gift for myself and my first ever collector's edition in a physical copy!

  • Dread Delusion - Xbox Series X|S Review

Today we’re looking at what has rapidly become an absolute favorite in the open-world RPG genre for me. An interesting story, memorable NPCs, stunning visuals, and a setting absolutely dripping with flavor, Dread Delusion sets its tone immediately and sticks with it.

Save Your Friends from Evil Goo in Nif Nif!

Hong Kong, February 13, 2025 - After 2 years in development, and a successful Kickstarter campaign, independent Hong Kong developer Springfox Games is proud to announce the release of the family-friendly roguelike deck builder Nif Nif on Steam this April 1st at a price of 19.99 EUR|USD. Join Nif Nif and Cat on their adventures to save their friends from the evil Goo that is contaminating the forest. Clean up the mess through card battles to advance on the procedural maps and defeat the final bosses!

Starting today and until March 10th, Nif Nif will have a new demo available with new final bosses, unlockable card variants, new hats, a new playable character, mini-games, and by the time Steam Next Fest starts, the Nif Nif demo will offer support for 11 languages, same as for the full game: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Chinese (simplified and traditional).

Main Features

  • Procedurally generated maps.
  • Two playable characters (Nif Nif and Cat) with different decks.
  • Gardening and cooking mini game.
  • 7 different hats to change abilities.
  • Progress through levels, unlockables and achievements.

What makes Nif Nif special?

Neuro Divergent - Friendly

Inspired by the game director’s autistic son. Nif Nif aims to provide a welcoming and supportive gaming experience where kids can explore, learn, and grow in anon-violent environment that encourages positive values like friendship and caring for nature.

“Slay the Spire meets Loddlenaut, wrapped up in a positive and actionable environmental message.”

For everyone

Approachable and designed for a general audience: from fans of deck-builders or cozy games, to kids (it helps them practice mental math!) or even people with no experience in video games. Accessible and totally non-violent. Easy to pick up for beginners, but strategic for those who want a challenge!

“The idea of cleaning as a core mechanic came from a desire to create a non-violent, family-friendly game. My son’s hypersensitivity to violence influenced this decision. I chose a piglet for Nif Nif because of the positive symbolism associated with pigs in Chinese culture. The character “family” features a pig under a roof, representing harmony and togetherness.” - Masha Mallet, Game Director.

Build the best deck

Choose your cards with special abilities as you progress through the encounters to be best prepared to face the final bosses that await you at the end of the forest. Decide what to bring on each adventure to keep things fresh, and choose to play between two different characters—each with a unique card set.

Prepare for the adventure cooking your own soups

You can collect seeds, plant them and cook your own power-up potions in the form of delicious hot soups that will help you on your journey. Deciding which ones to take each time can be the difference between a win or a loss!

Wholesome and chill

Nif Nif is a comfortable and cozy experience set in a whimsical and colorful world full of friendly and quirky characters that our little piglet and his grumpy cat companion will meet along the way on lovely encounters full of easter-eggs for us to enjoy.
