  • Culdcept the First - Xbox Review

Culdcept the First (also attributed as Culdcept the First Saturn Tribute) is a very fun game, that does show its age. This is basically a re-issue of the 1997 Sega Saturn game that mashes together deckbuilding (think Magic: The Gathering) and boardgames (such as Monopoly).

  • Map Map - A Game About Maps - PC Review

Sometimes a game will hit your feed that is completely unexpected. That is the reaction I had when I discovered Map Map - A Game About Maps (which I'll refer to as Map Map from here on out). It is a puzzle exploration game where you take the role of a young cartographer setting out on a relaxing journey to many unknown islands.

  • Outbound - PC Review

Let me tell you about this cozy game my daughter and I are playing together called Outbound. Now, I've been following this game from the initial Kickstarter back in April 2025 to its full release in May 2026. The best Mother's Day gift for myself and my first ever collector's edition in a physical copy!

  • Dread Delusion - Xbox Series X|S Review

Today we’re looking at what has rapidly become an absolute favorite in the open-world RPG genre for me. An interesting story, memorable NPCs, stunning visuals, and a setting absolutely dripping with flavor, Dread Delusion sets its tone immediately and sticks with it.

  • NHL 27 - PS5 Review

...and I have been playing NHL games since. It didn't matter whether it was EA or another game like 2K in the 2000s; I loved hockey games and still do, but is NHL 27 a step in the right direction?

Week in Review - March 13th to 17th

Because weeks can simply disappear quickly and then you wonder where they went, we've decided to bring you a Week in Review on top of our Months in Review.

Quick and to the point, here's what you may have missed this week!

First up on Monday our new writer Marc tackled Nintendo 's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the new Nintendo Switch who unsurprisingly gave this epic game a full score.

Following that on Tuesday I myself tackled The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Nintendo's Wii U. It sadly doesn't get full marks due to some slightly slopping finishing on the hardware compared to the likes of both The Legend of Zeldas: Twilight Princess and Wind Waker but the adventure itself is freaking amazing and more than worth it.

Wednesday Breanna dove back into the world of gaming with Rimworld giving everyone a second look at what we think of it so far. Still in Early Access this game looks solid and I swear she could write her own novels based off of her exploits so far.

Thursday we took a look at a new service called Utomik. This hybrid gaming service that takes the idea of a monthly subscription and a Steam like library. With plenty of titles so far, and LEGO® STAR WARS™ III: The Clone Wars quite literally just having released, there's more than enough content for gamers of any type to be happy with.

Finally the week ended on Friday with Richard tackling Dying Reborn on the PS4.

RimWorld - PC Preview

RimWorld has been making waves lately in the sci-fi sim world. Toted as being "inspired by Dwarf Fortress, Firefly, and Dune," RimWolrd puts you in charge of a pile of colonists that crash-landed on a hostile alien world where you will be beset by roaming beasts, pirate raiders, giant insects, and crazy-old killer robots. Unlike uber-popular sims like Cities: Skylines or The Sims, RimWorld is a story generator; developed to co-author the oft-crazy antics of your colonists, whether that centers around your band of survivors succumbing to starvation, fighting of space pirates, or simply telling the story of survival. These 'co-authors' or storytelling AI, chosen at the start, will control the random events that you will come across; whether that is a traveling salesman, climate change, or raid, the chosen AI will reign supreme. Given the unique setting, the inspirations, and the often-tragic stories that take place, RimWorld has no end of replayability and though it is still in Early Access, worth every moment you spend in game.
