The Climb is an excellent experience, one that works exceedingly well with the Oculus Touch controls. However, a lack of gameplay depth and overall number of environments could give some gamers pause when they try to decide if this is a journey worth undertaking.

ROM: Extraction - PC / VR Preview
December 21, 2016CGRreview, First Contact Entertainment, Oculus, Oculus Rift, Oculus Touch, pc, preview, ROM: Extraction, Virtual Reality, VR
ROM: Extraction is an incredibly strong game with a ton of polish and some genuinely exciting moments in its gameplay. However, the shallowness of the content is hard to ignore at this point, though the potential for expansion is plentiful.
Fantastic Contraption - PC / VR Review
December 20, 2016CGRreview, Fantastic Contraption, Northway Games, Oculus, Oculus Rift, Oculus Touch, pc, Radial Games, review, Virtual Reality, VR
Fantastic Contraption is a very interesting idea, where you basically manipulate parts to build contraptions that meet a certain goal. There is a tremendous amount of creativity that comes into play here, and the Oculus Touch controllers are fantastic as you manipulate different objects. Unfortunately the limited number of options to work with does limit the appeal somewhat, sometimes making a game of limitless possibilities surprisingly repetitive in places.
Cowbots and Aliens - PC / VR Preview
December 20, 2016CGRpreview, Cowbots and Aliens, Oculus, Oculus Rift, Oculus Touch, pc, preview, Virtual Reality, VR, Wizard Games Inc
Cowbots and Aliens is an often hilarious battling game that gives you an incredible number of things to interact with in the environment. You will absolutely destroy most of the stages in the process - and that's just fine. In fact, that's what the development team hopes will happen. The biggest drawback is that this is a small title that relies on finding online multiplayer matches, and that could be a problem when the game finally releases if more people don't discover this little gem first.
The Unspoken - PC / VR Review
December 16, 2016CGRreview, Insomniac Games, Oculus, Oculus Rift, Oculus Touch, pc, review, The Unspoken, Virtual Reality, VR
The Unspoken is arguably the best example of how much fun a game on the Oculus Touch can be. With a little more single player content, this would easily be my favorite Rift title so far. As it stands, it is still highly entertaining and makes some of the best use of the Touch controllers so far.
SUPERHOT VR - PC / VR Review
December 13, 2016CGRreview, Oculus, Oculus Rift, Oculus Touch, pc, review, SUPERHOT Team, SUPERHOT VR, Virtual Reality, VR
SUPERHOT VR is one of those titles that feels made for the Oculus Touch. It is a vibrant, action-filled first-person experience that might be light on content, but heavy on thrills.
Oculus Touch - Hardware Review
So the much-discussed Oculus Touch has begun to ship, and it carries with it a ton of questions - but just as much potential to change how people game. The hardware is incredibly polished and it only took a few minutes with it to see that there is a world of possibilities out there for those who sign up for virtual reality.
