Crime Simulator Available on Xbox Series X|S Today!

December 1st, 2025 | Crime Simulator arrives on Xbox Series X|S on December 1, featuring stealth, action, and online co-op for up to four players. From the developer of Thief Simulator 2, the game first launched on PC in June 2025, earning positive reviews and selling over 310,000 copies. The PlayStation 5 version is coming in early 2026, with a Nintendo Switch 2 release planned after.

The game was created by CookieDev, a one-person Polish studio also known for Thief Simulator 2. Ultimate Games S.A. publishes the game on both PC and consoles.

Since June, over 310,000 players have purchased the game. On Steam, Crime Simulator has an 81% positive rating from over 2,400 users.

The game has gained popularity on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, with gameplay videos reaching tens of millions of views. Markiplier, one of the world’s best-known gaming influencers, has also played the title.

Sneak, Steal, and Strike – Solo or CO-OP

Crime Simulator is a first-person criminal underworld simulation that combines stealth gameplay with roguelite progression and character grinding. The game offers single-player and online co-op modes for up to four players.

Gameplay focuses on heist-style missions involving theft, sabotage, and infiltration. Stealth and planning are essential, and direct combat is always a last resort. The main goal is to earn money and acquire valuable goods, but missions can also involve sabotage, destroying targets, or item drops.

Progress lets players gain new skills, buy better equipment, and expand their hideout. During missions, players can use a wide selection of tools and weapons, including lockpicks, crowbars, silenced pistols, drones, and scanners.

Crime Simulator Expands with New Content

The game is still in active development, and the Xbox version already includes the latest update. Version 1.2 adds a new map, Rural Arizona, new dangers such as motion sensors, and cars that players can steal and drive.

CookieDev is preparing more updates. The next Jewels Update (version 1.3), will arrive in early 2026. This free update will introduce new mechanics for jewel theft and new game modes, including Thief Competition Mode and Impostor Mode.

Free Crime Simulator demo now available

Anyone can now try the new demo for free on Steam. In the Crime Simulator Demo, players explore one map that includes a wider area featuring 5 houses. The demo supports single-player and co-op for up to 3 players.

The demo includes tools such as lockpicks, crowbars, and baseball bats. As CookieDev promises, the full version will allow the use of a broad range of additional tools, including drones and scanners. Ultimately, the game will also feature more maps, more challenges, and plenty of extra content.

Crime Simulator Demo Available on Steam!

May 13th, 2024 - Robberies, assaults and gangster hijinks - that's just part of what Crime Simulator, the new game from the makers of the bestselling Thief Simulator 2, has to offer. Crime Simulator will allow both to make a criminal career alone, as well as joint actions in co-op mode (up to 4 criminals). The PC release of the game can be expected in 2024/2025, with PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo console versions also planned. A free prologue of the game is available now on PC.

The Polish studio CookieDev, best known for the bestselling Thief Simulator 2, is working on Crime Simulator. Ultimate Games S.A. will be the publisher of the game on PC and consoles.

Crime Simulator is a unique simulator of criminal underworld activities with a first-person perspective (FPS) view. The game offers single-player and online co-op modes for up to 4 people at a time. The gameplay broadly depicts criminal life, also relying on elements known from other game genres.

A criminal career includes in Crime Simulator not only carrying out bandit jobs (such as theft and debt recovery) and fighting, but also, among other things, collecting raw materials, developing characters, upgrading equipment or gaining the right reputation among the factions present in the game.

The full version of the game will feature three larger settlements, desert areas on the outskirts of Mexico, national park areas in Canada and several additional locations, among others. The CookieDev team is also working on a whole lot of additional content.

In Crime Simulator, many tools await players to use in criminal actions. The developers offer, among others, baseball bats, crowbars, rods, wrenches, knuckles, knives, telescopic batons, pistols and various types of bombs and grenades. Specialized traps and turrets will also be available for use.
