IF YOU SEE A CAT — ACCLAIMED VR STORY BY ATSUSHI WADA MAKES ITS STEAM DEBUT



Festival-recognized VR story now available to wishlist ahead of its April 2 launch
 
March 26, 2026 — KOMODO today announced that IF YOU SEE A CAT, a VR story by award-winning animator Atsushi Wada, is now available to wishlist on Steam. The Steam Store page launches today, with the full release scheduled for April 2, 2026.

 
IF YOU SEE A CAT is a deeply immersive VR story by award-winning animator Atsushi Wada, blending animation, film, and interactive storytelling.


 
Players take on the perspective of a hallucinatory cat, observing a boy navigating mental distress, offering an intimate exploration of perception and human connection.

 
The work has been recognized internationally, including a nomination at the Venice International Film Festival and a screening at the Rotterdam International Film Festival.

About Atushi Wada

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1980. Studied film at Osaka Kyoiku University, the Image Forum Film Institute, and the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts. Began creating animation around 2002, continuing to produce works centered on the themes of “pause” and “pleasant motion.” He is a leading Japanese animator active globally, with works such as Great Rabbit winning the Silver Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2012. (Major works: My Swamp (2017), Birds of the Peninsula (2022), Ikimono-san (2023)).
