• Culdcept the First - Xbox Review

Culdcept the First (also attributed as Culdcept the First Saturn Tribute) is a very fun game, that does show its age. This is basically a re-issue of the 1997 Sega Saturn game that mashes together deckbuilding (think Magic: The Gathering) and boardgames (such as Monopoly).

  • NBA 2K27 - PlayStation 5 Review

With these annual seasonal renewals of the sports season comes the related video games as well, and the question reviewers such as myself always face is this: Is this year’s game worth purchasing one year after the last one? My answer? Yes, absolutely. NBA fans are going to almost certainly enjoy NBA 2K27.

  • Midnight Moments - PC Steam Review

Midnight Moments is a cozy cyberpunk diorama-building game that is stunning. Unlike games that require you to complete quests or take out assailants or even solve challenging puzzles, this one only requires one thing: imagination.

  • Isle of Reveries - PC Review

Isle of Reveries is a top down 2D action adventure game that made my nostalgia for old school Zelda games flare up really hard. A good blending of puzzle, exploration, and combat, Isle of Reveries is a wonderful title to experience inside and out.

  • Outbound - PC Review

Let me tell you about this cozy game my daughter and I are playing together called Outbound. Now, I've been following this game from the initial Kickstarter back in April 2025 to its full release in May 2026. The best Mother's Day gift for myself and my first ever collector's edition in a physical copy!

In OVER REQUIEMZ Yuhiru is thrown into the castle of Oz and is immediately accused of trying to assassinate the King and shoved into the dungeon. Not only is she treated like a criminal...

  • Dread Delusion - Xbox Series X|S Review

Today we’re looking at what has rapidly become an absolute favorite in the open-world RPG genre for me. An interesting story, memorable NPCs, stunning visuals, and a setting absolutely dripping with flavor, Dread Delusion sets its tone immediately and sticks with it.

  • NHL 27 - PS5 Review

...and I have been playing NHL games since. It didn't matter whether it was EA or another game like 2K in the 2000s; I loved hockey games and still do, but is NHL 27 a step in the right direction?

Our story begins in Akihabra, Tokyo Japan. Frogwares Releases The Sinking City 2 Today on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S!

12 August 2026, Kyiv, Ukraine | Today, after 3 years of turbulent development, Frogwares is proud to say they have released The Sinking City 2 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The Reception So Far

Currently, the game is sitting at an overall rating of 81 / "Strong" on OpenCritic, along with a 95% approval rating on Steam, and 4.95 / 5 on PSN from the first wave of publically viewable reviews.
"The game opens with a message of thanks to our supporters and then about the struggles of making the game during the war. But we end by saying, 'We believe this is the best game we have ever made,' and we are so happy to see so many critics and players agreeing with this sentiment. We took a massive risk changing genres while still trying to keep what our existing fans love about our games, but it seems to have been the right choice.

-Sergiy Oganesyan, Head of Publishing, Frogwares

Sinking City 2 PC Specs and Prices Revealed Ahead of August 18th Launch!

10 July 2026, Kyiv, Ukraine | Today, Frogwares has opened pre-orders for The Sinking City 2, its upcoming Lovecraftian survival horror game, which is launching on August 18, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A new trailer featuring brand-new gameplay has been released alongside a look at much of the bonus in-game content available to players who pre-order the game.

PRICE REVEAL | UNDER THE GENRE'S GOING RATE

Frogwares has also announced the game's pricing, with the Standard Edition set at USD $49.99 / EUR €49.99 / GBP £41.35.
Seeing pre-orders go live is quite a surreal milestone for us. It means the game is basically at the finish line, and that's not something we were always sure would happen. The Sinking City 2 is the most ambitious game we've ever made, built under circumstances most studios never have to plan for by a team working remotely across Ukraine and beyond. Even now, with around two months till launch to go, we made the call to move the entire project over to Unreal Engine 5.8 because we believed the performance gains were worth the effort for our players.

Our pricing follows the same philosophy. While most survival horror games today launch at $60 or more, we're launching at $49.99 because we want to be fair and give as many people as possible the chance to step into Arkham with us.  - Sergiy Oganesyan, Publishing Director, Frogwares.

PRE-ORDER EDITIONS AND CONTENT

With pre-orders now live on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, players can choose from three editions, each offering bonus content in addition to the base game.
  • Standard Edition - Base game, Chthonic Arsenal pack - $49.99
  • Deluxe Edition -  Base game, Chthonic Arsenal pack, and The Arkham Field Kit - $54.99
  • Premium Edition - Base game, Chthonic Arsenal pack, The Arkham Field Kit, Holloway Manor, and 24-hour advanced access - $59.99

The Chthonic Arsenal

Mythical weapons to give you options when the abyss fights back. Face Arkham in style. Wield the Chthonic Arsenal: the “Shale Mary” handgun, the “Breakwater” shotgun, and the “Tektite Tommy” SMG, each with its own look and features.

The Arkham Field Kit

Face Arkham prepared. The Arkham Field Kit adds three outfits for the main character: “The Anatomist,” “The Witness,” and “Heretic Heraldry.” It also includes three Dream Essence to learn your first Talent early and a Resource Pack with a helpful mix of ammo, healing, and crafting items to aid your first steps in the city.

The Holloway Manor

On the cliffs outside the city of Arkham, the Holloway Manor keeps its lights low. The house belongs to an old family whose history curdled into occult practice–the kind that Lovecraft would trace through buried lineages and rites that never quite ended. Rooms interlock like a puzzle box, dusty heirlooms open doors, and the house rewards your curiosity with paths you were not meant to find. See the job through, and the “Bucking Bronco” revolver you claim stays with you in the main game.

The Sinking City 2 Launching on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox in August!

Saturday, 6 June 2026, Kyiv, Ukraine | Today, Frogwares is proud to announce that its upcoming survival horror game, The Sinking City 2, will launch on August 18, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The announcement was made during Summer Game Fest, accompanied by a brand-new trailer titled “Welcome to Arkham,” which premiered as part of the Future Games Show Summer Showcase.

Steam Demo Release

As an additional surprise for players, the team has shadow-dropped a one-hour playable demo on Steam. The demo covers the opening hour of the full game and offers an early look at Frogwares’ take on survival horror. It also provides the first opportunity to properly meet the new protagonist, occult adventurer Calvin Rafferty, and begin uncovering the reasons behind his tragic and arduous journey into the flooded and Eldritch monster-infested city of Arkham.

A Relief To Finally Glimpse the Finish Line

The Sinking City 2 has been in development at Frogwares since January 2023, with the majority of our 90+ person team based in Ukraine. The constant hurdles and hardships caused by russia’s invasion brought constant uncertainty and shifting timelines throughout production. The announcement of a release date marks a significant milestone, allowing the team to finally be able to see the game in full and assess the remaining work needed to bring the game to completion and prepare it for launch as a self-published title.
Making games is already chaotic and unpredictable, so having a war going on at the same time adds a layer of immense chaos. We were forced to constantly adapt and change our plans. So many times we had to rethink and adjust how we were going to get things done. And often just as we’d finally adapted and got into the new flow of things, something else would be waiting around the corner to throw us into disarray. Rinse and repeat.

We went through entire winters where heat and power were regularly cut off throughout the day because our infrastructure was being intentionally targeted. We had days where someone would be part of the team, and then the next day we’d hear they had been called up to serve and needed to start handing over their work to the rest of us. You’d be in a meeting one minute discussing some trivial design question, and the next, half of us would be saying, “Hold on, the air raid sirens just went off.” We’ve had people disappear for days because, overnight, their home or apartment building was hit directly or indirectly, damaging their homes.

Even during the week we finally picked a release date internally as a team, our feelings of joy and relief were quickly dampened when, that very Sunday, cities across the country came under some of the worst attacks since the start of the war. It felt like some vindictive force reminding us not to celebrate too much because everything could still change in an instant.

But despite all this, we’re keeping our heads up. We’re beyond proud and in awe of how we’ve come together through all of this, and we’re happy to have finally brought the game to a point where we can see its release on the horizon.

— Sergiy Oganesyan, Head of Publishing, Frogwares

Narrative-Driven Sci-Fi Horror Game 'Impermanence' in Development for 2027!

6 JUNE 2026, Belgium | Bad Choices Loud Noises and Duckosaurus Games have revealed Impermanence, a narrative-driven sci-fi horror game centered around grief, obsession, and the unnatural act of trying to hold onto what should be gone.

Impermanence is in development for PC, targeting a 2027 release.

Announced during Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2026, the debut teaser brings players into the abandoned Orpheum theatre, where a grieving scientist attempts to reconstruct his son’s spirit through sound. But as he traps echoes of life, he awakens a greater force: the universe’s need to let go.

Blending atmospheric psychological horror with tactile sound-driven interaction, Impermanence focuses on tension, decay, and emotional unease rather than traditional combat or gore.

Impermanence - Official Announcement Trailer:

About the Game

The Orpheum theatre should have stayed abandoned. Instead, you return night after night, carrying boxes of toys, photographs, trophies, drawings, fragments of a life, rebuilding your son’s room beneath the theatre’s dead stage lights.

You tell yourself it’s science. That you will fix it. Through sound, you begin pulling something back from the static. Tiny motes appear in the air. Echoes answer your voice. But something else is listening too.

Impermanence is a first-person narrative horror experience about grief, obsession, and the act of refusing to let go. Transform a decaying concert hall into a shrine to memory. Use the principles of acoustic levitation to stabilize fragile fragments of presence. Hold on as a force older than grief pushes back.

There are no weapons. No monsters waiting in the dark. Only the slow realization that the world is trying to correct what you’ve done.

Key Features

  • Use acoustic levitation principles to attract and lock spirit fragments in place.
  • Build a shrine from a child's belongings. What you place, and where, determines what answers.
  • Fight entropy through light, sound, and the obsession of a father trying to right the ultimate wrong.
  • Psychological horror built on tension and emotional unease. No combat, no gore.
  • Multiple endings determined by how far you're willing to go, and what you're willing to lose to get there.

For more updates, wishlist on Steam or follow the studio on Twitter/X or Bluesky.

As one of our newest Quality Assurance engineers, you have been selected to participate in Pipes.exe, a cooperative horror experience revealed at today's PC Gaming Show. In this corporate venture to advance market-leading collaborative capabilities, employees will investigate software bugs that may or may not be demons, repair unstable systems together while coordinating (or panicking) over voice chat, and attempt to survive escalating environmental threats inside an immersive, '90s-inspired digital workspace. Welcome to the team!

Using our proprietary hand-and-pull locomotion system, you can climb through pipes and mazes while searching for system faults within the gOS. But please remain alert: certain “bugs” may exhibit hostile behavior, disrupt the system around you, or pursue employees directly through the simulation.

Pipes.exe supports solo contributors or online co-op for up to four employees simultaneously, with a fully integrated VOIP communication system that evaluates workplace professionalism in real time. Excessive panic, shouting, or unprofessional language may affect your employment, so System 6D encourages all employees to remain calm, cooperative, and alive whenever possible.

After all, when you die in gOS, you die in real life!

Key Features

  • Work solo or with friends in a surreal procedural jungle gym inspired by nostalgic '90s screensavers

Narrative Driven CRPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Eternal Whispers Announced!

Leamington Spa, UK - June 07, 2026 | UK-based publisher Kwalee and independent developer FLYOS are pleased to announce Vampire: The Masquerade — ETERNAL WHISPERS, a narrative-driven CRPG set in the World of Darkness. Players will find themselves in a dark, modern Montreal consumed by political intrigue, buried secrets, and personal horror.

After awakening from decades of torpor, players will investigate their past, navigate the brutal politics of vampire society, and shape their date through meaningful choices and deep roleplaying systems. In this world, every decision carries lasting consequences, including failure.

“I’ve been playing Vampire: The Masquerade ttrpg for more than 25 years. The universe, its themes and the stories it creates have stayed with me for most of my life. That passion eventually pushed me to create Vampire: The Masquerade — CHAPTERS, our narrative board game adaptation of the license, and later became the driving force behind Vampire: The Masquerade — ETERNAL WHISPERS, said Gary Paitre, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Flyos.

With Eternal Whispers, our ambition is to deliver a mature and atmospheric CRPG that sits at the crossroads of classic role-playing games and modern narrative experiences such as Disco Elysium. We want to create a game where personal horror, exploration, and meaningful choices are just as important as atmosphere and storytelling.”

Vampire: The Masquerade — ETERNAL WHISPERS is coming to PC

About the game

Montreal has changed.

The Sabbat is gone. New powers rule from the shadows. Old loyalties have decayed beneath neon lights, abandoned cathedrals and the ruins of forgotten faiths.

You are Gabe, a vampire awakened from decades of torpor with fractured memories and a past buried deeper than the dead. Guided by Sam, a reluctant Thin-Blood, what begins as a hunt for a rogue ghoul spirals into a dangerous conspiracy tied to the Temple of Eternal Whispers, a vast underground cathedral built in devotion to a forbidden faith.

Your return was no accident.

As you investigate the mystery surrounding your forgotten past, you uncover disturbing truths about the Sabbat. Your release sets forgotten forces into motion, while something ancient still lies buried beneath the city, a secret capable of reshaping Montreal’s undead society forever. The deeper you delve into your connection with the Temple of Eternal Whispers, the more you unravel the darkness buried within yourself. Will you embrace the monstrous legacy of your Sabbat origins, or fight to preserve the last remnants of your humanity?

A Narrative-Driven CRPG

Set in a dark contemporary world driven by political intrigue, moral ambiguity and immersive investigations, Eternal Whispers places roleplaying and consequence at the heart of the experience. There are no traditional combat encounters, but players remain free to pursue violent, manipulative, or ruthless approaches through the choices and paths offered throughout the game.

Every conversation, alliance, betrayal or act of violence shapes the path through the story. Your choices shape relationships, uncover hidden truths, and influence how the world reacts to you, opening or closing opportunities along the way.

Fail-Forward Storytelling

Its demanding, uncompromising narrative is built on fail-forward design.

Botched negotiations, broken promises, missed clues and reckless decisions do not stop progression, they transform the narrative, opening new consequences, tensions and paths through the story.

Every success has a cost and every failure leaves a scar.

Investigate the Shadows

Uncover fragmented truths of your past through exploration, dialogue, eavesdropping and environmental storytelling as you piece together scattered clues hidden throughout Montreal’s underworld. Navigate deception, manipulation, and unreliable memories in a city where every conversation conceals another secret and every discovery carries consequences.

Not every mystery has a clear answer. Not every truth should be uncovered.

Build your kindred, shape your fate…

Immortality comes at a cost.

Struggle to preserve your humanity while confronting trauma, obsession, hunger and the brutal politics of vampire society. Begin your journey by fully customizing your character’s appearance and attributes, then shape your destiny through the choices you make, whether you embrace the ruthless paths of the Sabbat or fight to preserve what remains of your humanity.

A Distinct Vision of the World of Darkness

Born from the critical and commercial success of Vampire: The Masquerade — CHAPTERS, Eternal Whispers builds upon an established narrative and artistic foundation while expanding the World of Darkness into a rich narrative CRPG experience.

Its gothic visual identity draws inspiration from dark illustration, concept art, and gothic architecture, blending contemporary urban decay with surreal underground sanctuaries hidden beneath Montreal.

Developed by a hybrid team experienced in both board games and video games, Eternal Whispers combines systemic roleplaying depth with handcrafted narrative design to create a cohesive and uncompromising vampire experience.

Key Features

  • Narrative-driven CRPG set in the World of Darkness
  • Meaningful choices with lasting consequences
  • Fail-forward storytelling where failure reshapes the narrative
  • Investigative gameplay focused on discovery and deduction
  • Deep roleplaying and character customization systems
  • Final Death mode with permanent consequences
  • A dark modern Montreal inspired by gothic horror

New Co-Op Horror Title 'Cordura' by Garage51 Reveals Gameplay Trailer

June 6, 2026. Barcelona, Spain | Independent developer Garage51 has just revealed their gameplay trailer for CORDURA a 1-4 player quota co-op horror game for Steam and PS5 that takes place in decaying Victorian mansions where players will have to survive while dealing with the innovative Mimic System: the night listens to your proximity chat, copying teammates' voices and appearances to split you up.

IT’S A SIMPLE JOB, FOR MEN WITH NERVE

Set in a distorted Victorian era, players must infiltrate corrupted buildings to recover "Roses of the Night"—a powerful source of Ambrosia—before the environment claims their sanity. Coordination is the only way to survive the darkness, as the core of CORDURA is the Mimic System. This mechanic allows the darkness to learn and imitate the voices and physical appearance of your teammates. In a game where proximity voice chat is your lifeline, you’ll quickly find yourself questioning if the person calling for help around the corner is actually your friend or something... totally different.

THE STORY

Science once dared to blur the boundaries of the Night, and now the darkness has returned to reclaim its own. Victorian buildings awaken corrupted by a primal influence, twisting their halls into procedural labyrinths and reducing inhabitants to empty shells that now stalk from the shadows.

Yet, desire proves stronger than fear. Deep within these walls grows the Rose of the Night, the source of the Ambrosia. A potent neurostimulant coveted by the aristocracy for their decadent gatherings. You will take on the role of the workers who enter to extract this prize before you lose your sanity.

Few return alive, but greed always finds new volunteers.

"With CORDURA, we wanted to move away from scripted jumpscares and focus on the paranoia of not knowing who to trust," says the Garage51 team. "In these scenarios, silence keeps you hidden, but if you don't talk to each other, you won't make it out".

MAIN FEATURES

  • Quota Survival-Horror: Enter procedural labyrinths alone or with up to 3 friends. The game’s dynamic difficulty ensures the threat scales to your group size.
  • Mimic System: "The Night" listens to your team and actually mimics your friends' voices and appearances to split you up and lure you into the abyss using proximity voice chat.
  • Shifting Environments: These settings are not static. Corrupted buildings reshape themselves in real-time, meaning a path you used to get in might be gone by the time you try to get out.
  • Permanent Stakes: Death has consequences. If a worker falls, they are lost along with their gear, unless the survivors decide to risk a rescue mission to recover their body.

About Garage51

We are Garage51, where talent grows and dreams thrive. Nurturing passionate developers into industry leaders with our comprehensive development pipeline since our start in 2018. We are not afraid of any challenge, on the contrary, we believe it is the best way to improve and to be on same level of what our players deserve.

Iphigames and Horrified Triangles Reveal Cinematic Trailer for Haunted Bloodlines

Athens, Greece | Iphigames, Serafini Productions and developer Horrified Triangles today revealed a brand-new Cinematic Trailer for their upcoming first-person psychological horror game, Haunted Bloodlines, as part of The Horror Game Awards.

The trailer offers a first look at new scenes from the full game and announces that Haunted Bloodlines will launch on Steam and PlayStation 5, pulling players deeper into the mansion that gives the game its name. A house that doesn't just hold horrors, but seems to live and breathe alongside those trapped inside it.

Haunted Bloodlines is a first-person survival and psychological horror experience that drops players into the eerie depths of an ever-shifting mansion. After the sudden death of your father, you inherit a sprawling estate hidden deep within a dark forest, only to begin questioning your sanity as you uncover disturbing truths about your family's legacy. Is your bloodline who you believe them to be? And can you face the truth without losing your mind?

The deeper you go, the less the house makes sense. Rooms rearrange themselves. Memories that aren't yours start to surface. And the further you dig into your family's past, the harder it becomes to tell what's real and what the mansion wants you to see.

With no way to defend yourself, your only options are to hide or run. Stay silent, stay hidden, and keep track of the mansion's shifting layout. Any wrong move could be your last. As tragedy plays out in front of you, visions twist and whispers grow louder, blurring the line between reality and nightmare. You'll solve puzzles by stepping into the past, and move between the living world and its haunted reflection, where each side holds both pieces of the truth and horrors you'd rather not face.

Inspired by P.T. and Silent Hill and mixed with Greek mythology, Haunted Bloodlines started life as a student project before growing into a full horror experience under Horrified Triangles, with a clearer identity and a long-term vision.

A free demo is available now on Steam.

Key Features

  • Escape: Hide or run to survive, and be careful not to misjudge HER presence.
  • Sanity: Endure tragic events as your mind begins to turn against you.
  • Time: Solve puzzles and change events by stepping into the past, with consequences that shape the horrors to come.
  • Realm-Switching: Move between the living world and its haunted reflection to reveal hidden paths, and awaken what lurks just out of sight.

Explore the apartment freely and uncover the truth

Interact with a variety of objects throughout each room. Observe and learn more about Yuna's life, her family, and her declining mental state as she grieves the world around her.

Lovecraftian Title 'The Sinking City 2' Has New Extensive Gameplay Trailer!

7 May 2026, Kyiv, Ukraine | Today, Frogwares revealed an extensive gameplay trailer for The Sinking City 2. Exploration, combat, and eldritch monstrosities take center stage in the flooded city of Arkham, while the first glimpses of the game’s Lovecraftian horror story are also unveiled.

The Sinking City 2 is set in a Lovecraftian vision of 1920s America, in the infamous city of Arkham. A supernatural flood has driven out all but the most deranged residents, leaving decay and eldritch horrors that roam the streets. Step into the role of Calvin Rafferty, an occult adventurer whose cavalier actions have led to devastating consequences. After a dreaming ritual goes wrong, his girlfriend, Faye, is left trapped in a mysterious sleep. Now Calvin must navigate the drowned streets of a derelict city in a desperate attempt to bring her back. On his quest, he’ll come face to face with a plague of otherworldly creatures, the Slither, who possess and twist the dead into lethal, walking puppets.

Game Features

  • Fight to Survive: Use an arsenal of 1920s-inspired firearms and melee weapons to fight against Eldritch abominations.
  • Explore The Decaying City of Arkham: A world of rotting mansions, flooded markets, and abandoned hospitals that you’ll explore by foot and by boat.
  • Find and Use What You Can: Scrounge for limited resources and balance a finite inventory as you decide what to bring and what to leave behind.
  • Choose to Investigate Further: Explore your surroundings more deeply and solve optional cases and puzzles to uncover secrets, upgrades, and lore.
  • A Twisted Lovecraftian Tale: Experience a captivating and morally gray story of personal loss, woven through the Lovecraftian mythos of cults, rituals, and incomprehensible creatures.

Continuing to Push the Studio in a New Direction

With The Sinking City 2, Frogwares is fully embracing its original vision to steer the studio toward a “horror-first” approach, designing gameplay that emphasizes combat, exploration, and the rich Lovecraftian setting.

Our idea to take a chance with The Sinking City 2 and create something more in the survival horror genre has really come together. The leaps and progress we’ve made are clear to all of us on the team, and now we’re eager to see how it resonates with players, both new and our existing fans.

While the genre shift has allowed us to really grow creatively, we’re holding onto the investigative roots we’re known for. We’ve prioritized combat, survival, and exploration, with investigation as a beneficial layer for those who want that aspect of the game.

And of course, we’ve made sure to wrap everything in a memorable, mature narrative, which our fans know and love us for. This time around, the story is more personal to our protagonist, while still delivering our signature Frogwares take on gray morality and Lovecraftian themes.

Indie Studio Team Vultures Launching Scavangers of Death on Steam This Month

March 31, 2026 | Colombian 2-people indie studio Team Vultures and publisher Firesquid Games are proud to announce that, after 4 years in development, their tactical turn-based survival horror Vultures - Scavengers of Death, will launch on Steam this April 28. Inspired by PS1 era classics like Resident Evil and the Parasite Eve series, the game puts you in the shoes of two agents, each with their own combat styles and customize their load out before entering a mission. Once inside, choose your tactics carefully. You may not want to engage in every battle, sneaking can be a viable option but when you do engage, you must rely on your tactical training in turn-based combat. Aim for vital spots or disable opponents to slow them down. Use any method to get out alive with the target.

"Somehow it managed to not just meet, but exceed the unrealistic expectations of the Resident Evil-meets-tactics spin-off I’ve dreamed of for almost 30 years is almost too good to be true, and like-minded genre fans should run, not sneak, to check it out as soon as humanly possible." - Matt Karoglou, Cheat Code Central

Choose your agent to jump into survive and extract the target missions:

Leopoldo - A disciplined operative, guided by an unbreakable sense of duty and a strict personal code of justice. With his strength and ingenuity; move, push and jump over objects to control the environment.

Amber - A tactical operative characterized by her analytical intelligence, agility, and ability to make precise decisions under pressure. Use her grappling gun to traverse the environment and control the position of enemies.

Choose your tactics carefully - Resources are limited with unknowns around every corner. Sneak, disengage and prioritize your approach to every turn-based battle. Extracting with the target is your ultimate goal - Get out alive using every tool and method at your disposal.

Scavenge a Ruined City

The city is full of information left behind after the infection. Piece together a path to the cure by extracting relics, notes and items from various locations, each with their own obstacles. Survive along the way by scavenging for any tools that can aid you, keys to unlock your way and new weapons to expand your skills.

Turn-Based Classic Survival Horror

Inspired by some of the most foundational Survival Horror franchises like Resident Evil; Vultures embraces a retro PS1 aesthetic and mechanics that lead to a tense, horror filled exploration. Isolated as a single agent in the dark halls of the city, every choice could lead to a successful mission or death.

Players will find the following gameplay elements:

  • Weapons - From pistols to rifles and knives to katana, find a variety of weapons to build out your arsenal.
  • Resources - Ammo and health packs are limited but vital to your survival.
  • Keys, codes and clues - Even doors and dying technology will be obstacles on the path to your target. Explore thoroughly to find everything you need to gain access.

Salento Valley - Ground Zero

A once bustling metropolis, Salento Valley now lies as a desolate battleground in the wake of a bio-hazard disaster. As a VULTURES operative, you will face increasingly challenging odds as you make your way through the city's ruins. Horrifying mutants and abominations lay in wait for fresh blood like you.

About Vultures Team

Mateo and Giovanni are a pair of friends and colleagues who have been creating games and software together for over 9 years. They stand out for crafting experimental mechanics and embracing a retro and unconventional artistic style. Occasionally, their games incorporate touches of social and political critique, often questioning consumer society and rampant capitalism.

Horror Genre Meets Farming Simulation in Harvest Island 2.0 Update!

California, March 2, 2025 | Indie developer Yobob Games is thrilled to announce the upcoming 2.0 update to its acclaimed horror-meets-farming simulation, Harvest Island. The highly anticipated Harvest Island 2.0 marks a major evolution for the game, delivering comprehensive enhancements that rebuild the experience from the ground up - complete with reimagined systems, expanded narrative elements, and atmospheric improvements.

A brand new announcement trailer has dropped as well, giving players their first look at what’s in store for version 2.0.

What to Expect in Version 2.0:

  • Free movement and redesigned world: Move beyond grid-based traversal and explore the island with greater fluidity and immersion.
  • Dynamic lighting and new atmospheric effects: Enhancing both the mystery and the eerie tone that defines Harvest Island.
  • Expanded storyline content: Including deeper character arcs and questlines to uncover more of the island’s secrets. There will be multiple endings. Important characters will have their own endings: Greyson, Ariel, Ochya, Will, Samantha, Becky, and more.
  • New trust mechanic: Dad will now play an important role in Harvest Island and will provide a lot more quests. There is now a trust meter with dad, as well. Increase your trust meter by doing quests and he’ll allow you to explore deeper into the island. Breaking trust dynamically changes exploration.
  • New magic mechanic: The character will now have a second resource bar called magic. Magic will be used to evolve crops to a blessed state, transforming them from regular crops to blessed crops.
  • Improved interactions and visuals: With animated portraits during dialogue, refined camera behavior, and more intuitive in-game mechanics.
  • New moon system: Every other night, the game becomes pitch black, making your exploration rely on light sources. This introduces rare items that are only available during the new moon.
  • Harvest time dial: A device that speeds up the game’s time. Plants will grow faster, tides can change quicker, and the days can pass by quicker. This allows the game to speed up for things you must wait on.
  • Rebuilt in Godot engine: Modernizing the game’s foundation for smoother performance and future update scalability.

This update represents a pivotal moment for Harvest Island, elevating both gameplay and storytelling while preserving the magical balance between cozy farming and unsettling mystery that players have come to expect.

About Harvest Island

Living with your family on a remote island, you discover a sinister purpose of your existence. Look for a way to escape your idyllic farm life. Offer your Harvest Offering to the gods to keep up with the façade. Question everything and fake your blissful farming days.

Originally released in October 2023 to positive reception, Harvest Island is a story-driven, mysterious, dark, lore-rich adventure with horror and farming elements such as watering crops, collecting livestock produce, befriending wild animals, collecting tidepool critters, and catching fish for the gods. You can discover lots of well-hidden places like a cave behind a waterfall or befriending wild animals that'll take you to new places or finding a randomly placed vending machine in a dark underground, hidden room along the beach. The places are hard to discover because of the maze-like island. Tides impede your adventure so conveniently, your dad always dismisses your curious questions, and your sister finds it odd that things on the island are purposefully hidden with some kind of weird message. You'll need to figure out what's wrong with Harvest Island, why the kids are alone with just their father, and dive deep into the lore of Harvest Island to figure out this mysterious, dark story.

The game has continued to evolve since launch, including an Expanded Ending DLC, adding multiple narrative conclusions for players to experience.

With the 2.0 update, the game’s core mechanic changes. You must explore the island all while building trust with your father. Do quests, farm for the gods, or give him gifts to build trust. Achievements will be earned throughout the story and provide permanent buffs, allowing you to explore further. Tides will impede your adventure but you are able to swim to overcome this obstacle at the cost of stamina in which the achievements will provide. The entire island is maze-like with an entirely new redesign level.

Availability and Next Steps

Harvest Island 2.0 is currently in development with no confirmed release date yet. Players are encouraged to wishlist the game on Steam and follow official channels for updates, early previews, and community discussions.

If you’re interested in staying in the loop on all things Harvest Island, you can join the Official Discord Server, where feedback and suggestions are always welcome!
