Richard started the week off with some dungeon crawling in the newest entry of the New Tokyo Legacy.

Tuesday started off with a literal bang as Nick got to essentially play God and guide the growth of worlds with NIS's Birthdays the Beginning.

I wasn't sure there was a way to top Samurai Warriors 4 but they did it anyways with 4-II and again with the newest Spirit of Sanada which has to be one of my favorites of the entire franchise. This includes all the spin-offs.

And here's something that I would NEVER touch. Outlast 2. Thankfully that's why Nick's around because he plays crazy scary horror games. For fun.

Starting the day off with a bit more Horror, jeez you think it was Halloween around here this week, Chris dives back into Narcosis though without a headset this time. Wait... he did this in VR? *shudders*

We topped off the week with a look at the remastered Valkyria Chronicles. Hopefully this leads to a remaster of the Second and possibly a Remaster and a Localization of the Third. I know. I'm probably dreaming but crazier has happened!

Welcome back to the weekend and this Week's in Review!
The week started off with a double header of TellTale and Zombies. Morning morning saw Nick's review of The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier Episode 3: Above the Law while the afternoon saw the next chapter Episode 4: Thicker Than Water.
"Episode 3: Out of the initial three episodes in this new series, Above the Law was easily my favorite. It is a much meatier installment, both in terms of episode length and the types of challenges Javi will face. The first couple of chapters left me somewhat uncertain, but now? After Above the Law I am ready for more.
Episode 4: The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier Episode 4: Thicker Than Water is however, my least-favorite of the chapters so far, and that is largely due to how certain characters and their motivations play out. "

Tuesday started off with a roar of the engines as Nick took back to the tracks of Mario Kart 8 with its Switch Deluxe version. Looks like I'm going to have to pick this one up.

Our second of three Switch reviews this week, it may not be as high as the other two but there is still some fun to be had here with NBA Playgrounds.
" There is a fun game here in NBA Playgrounds, but this is by no means the best version of the game. The other issue is that the game is a little on the shallow side. It is a shame really, because there is a fun title to be had here, but issues hold it back and the end result is a merely average sports outing."

Fans of tabletop games will be happy to know that the latest Pathfinder Bestiary (6) holds up to the rest.
"Piazo's Bestiary 6 for the Pathfinder Roleplaying game is a solid entry into the massive world of Pathfinder. While it can be a bit difficult to write in many of the monsters (given their CR levels are quite high) it is a nice addition to existing lore."

This is personally one of my biggest highlights for the week if not month as Breanna and I spent hours upon hours having fun exploring random floating islands. Portal Knights is worth checking out especially if you've got people who love to play these style of games as a group!

Portal Knights I'm willing to say may be setting the bar for Action Adventure RPG Sandboxes and while it's fun to play alone, it's even better with a partner!"

This one was bugging me for a while. I swear I had heard it before and it finally clicked while putting this article together. It's been in development for a long time with me that previewed it back in 2014 at DigitallyDownloaded and Breanna that previewed it here later in 2015 under a newer build. RIVE is out and it's awesome!
"Rive is an insanely challenging yet satisfying game that is mostly shoot-'em-up, but tosses in a few genre wrinkles as well. It is an unapologeticlly brutal game however, and it could use a handful tweaks here and there, but the overall experience is still a fantastic one."

I'm still sore from the butt kicking I received from Marc as he went about previewing Brawlout. It's his bread and butter but I still expected to win a few more matches than I did...
"Overall Brawlout is a great game so far, short of the ledge grabbing, with a fantastic cartoonish type of graphics. The game currently suffers from a lack of overall content and online instability for the price asked for, but it has a lot of promise for an Early Access title."

The week ends on multiple high notes with NIS' Disgaea 5 Complete for the Switch. If Zelda and Mario Kart weren't enough, then this should settle it dood!
"Disgaea 5 Complete runs brilliantly both in fullscreen console mode as it does portably as it was just as fun to play one way as it was the other. Having all of the DLC content from the get go was simply more sardine flavored icing on the cake dood!"
Sorry for being a week late but sometimes things just don't line up the way we wish they did. Alas, here is the list!
So last week we had the following release including the long awaited Trails in the Sky 3rd Chapter. I'm a bit sad to not see a PSP/Vita release but maybe that's for the best after my Vita crashed and I lost my save data... I won't feel so bad for jumping into it on the PC!
Before I had a chance to fall in love with Trails of Cold Steel, I was in love with Estelle, erm, Trails in the Sky! In all seriousness though Estelle is a hell of a character and I'm kicking myself for not having put her on my Top 5
Favorite female character in video games.
I would have to look up if the new Prey has anything to do with the old Prey. I know it's a google search away but the intrigue is much more interesting. Speaking of intrigue, hostile aliens have overrun the Talos I space station and you must use mind-bending powers and unique weapons to decide the fate of humanity.
I want plushies of all of htem. Seriously. All of them. Birthdays the Beginning is all about playing God
and watching the super cute world grow. Did I mention the plushies?

Dark Souls, Lords of the Fallen,
Bloodborne and even the new upcomming Code Vein all have one thing in common that The Surge doesn't. They are fantasy settings while the The Surge has gone a high tech route. I'm hoping it works out!
Oh, Deck 13 also made Lords of the Fallen so they know what they are doing.
Looks like the stripping days are over! This next trip to Akiba looks much more music based and seems to take itself more seriously. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out compared to stripping vampires of their clothes and stealing their weapons.

NetherRealm Studios are back
with more DC brutality with the continuation of Injustice. If it was possible, Injustice 2 looks even better than Injustice: Gods Among Us did.
Is it already the time for the next entry? Wow time goes by fast as I swear that the previous one just came out. This'll be one of those interesting beings as changes are being made to longtime series staples. Here's hoping that it stays just as good and innovates forwards!

Going over to the Nintendo Switch instead of the Vita, could that be some foreshadowing of even NIS moving away from it? I doubt it after a few of their recent releases such as A Rose in the Twilight but it makes one wonder.
This is one of those smaller interesting titles on the list this month. Using the classic Trinity of classes dive through multitudes of portals and have fun!
I was a huge fan of Tequila Works' Deadlight. It was awesome. RiME is looking good for a whole other set of reasons and the gorgeous artstle mixed in with adventure elements is one that I want to play.
I had never heard of this until recently much less having known that it was originally on the DS. That's right. The first one. Revamped for the new generation of home consoles and the PC I'm looking forward to it.
The trailer is also awesome. Skip to 1:00 if nothing else!
Finally on the very last day of the month Cladun Returns with This Is Sengoku! making one hell of a leap from the PSP to the PS4 and the PSV. I'm looking quite forward to this one!

We started off Monday with our Month in Review which is a more expansive one stop shop for what we did over the course of the month
