  • House Flipper Remastered Collection - PC Review

I enjoy simulation-type games, and I enjoyed the original release of House Flipper, but I never got around to getting the DLC. When the remastered version of the game was released, I figured it would be the best way to experience the DLC while checking out how the base game was upgraded.

Wasteland 2 Game of the Year Edition - a free upgrade

What's better than Wasteland 2? Not much according to Robert in his review. However, a Game of the Year Edition might just be one of the few answers to that question. Making it free for existing users? That seems like an even better answer.

Ar nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn Star coming soon

We were fans of Ar nosurge when it first released on the PS3, so the news that an updated version will be making its way to the Vita in the near future is welcome indeed.

Operation Abyss gets a new trailer

Not a whole lot to say about this one. The NIS America title for Vita is releasing in North America on June 9th, 2015 (and June 5th for our EU readers). It will be getting a physical and digital release. But now? We have a shiny new trailer for it.

Exanima - PC Preview

At a glance, Exanima looks a lot like other isometric RPG dungeon crawlers. Visually it might harken back to an earlier age in computer gaming, but this is a very different kind of beast altogether. As such, it requires a substantial investment to make any significant headway, but the potential for a fun, unique game is definitely here.

Phantasmal, a Survival Horror Game That is Never the Same Twice, Now Available on Steam Early Access

I like horror games, so I am always always willing to give a new one a chance. I have my doubts on the effectiveness of procedurally generated horror games however, finding scripted events to be more effective from a narrative standpoint, but I'm always willing to be proven wrong.

Koei Tecmo announces upcoming release and pre-order bonus for Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess

We liked Deception IV when it released on PlayStation 3 and also the Vita. Blood Ties had some flaws, but it was great to return to the devious Deception series. The first one is still a favorite PS1 title of mine. Well now we have some additional news on the PS4 iteration.

Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ coming out in fall of 2015

Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ is another of those Aksys titles that has kind of a strange name, but the early look at it here appears to hold some promise.

Vector Thrust - PC Preview

As a kid I remember heading out to the local arcade to pump quarters into classic titles like Dungeons & Dragons, Altered Beast, and Rampage but once the arcade got an After Burner cabinet all of that changed. I was able to sit down in this wicked-cool seat that rumbled with a full hands-on-throttle-and-stick system and absolutely destroy bogeys in an F-14 Tomcat. Since those good ol' arcade days though, there have not been many arcade-style shooters; enter TimeSymmetry and Iceberg Interactive's Vector Thrust , a modern take on the classic dog-fighting found in the beloved After Burner, though with a few added perks. Here are our first impressions.

Nekro - PC Preview

Nekro, by darkForge games, is a birds eye view action RPG game that is presently in Early Access status on Steam.  Back in 2013, Nekro achieved their Kickstarter goals and began development, and have dedicated what seems to be a rather baffling amount of time and effort on this work of love.

Fallen: A2P Protocol - PC Preview

When I first saw Fallen: A2P Protocol I was immediately interested in the title. After all it is an isometric, 3D squad-based tactical strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic Mad Max-style world so what is there not to like? Leading your caravan through the decrepit wasteland, you will embark on a quest for revenge which will reveal the deep and dark secret of how the world ended up in the state that it is in. We were able to get our hands on Fallen: A2P Protocol in Early Access and here is our first impressions.

Legends of Eisenwald - PC Preview

Legends of Eisenwald looks to strike that balance between RPG titles and strategy ones that previous games such as King's Bounty managed so successfully. In fact, this is probably the strongest comparison I can make to an existing franchise, but seeing as the King's Bounty series is among my favorite games on PC, I consider this to be high praise.

Sovereignty: Crown of Kings - PC Preview

Slitherine publishes a lot of war games, but Sovereignty: Crown of Kings feels different for several reasons. The most notable is the rich fantasy setting it uses to excellent effect. I dig a nice war or science-fiction strategy title, but nothing gets me quite as interested in as good high fantasy setting. However, the setting would not mean much of the mechanics did not back up the strategic elements. Thankfully, even in Early Access, things are looking really good.
