Forever Skies Echoes Update Part 2 Available Now on PC and PlayStation 5

Wrocław, Poland – 15 December 2025 | Far From Home is excited to announce the surprise launch of Echoes Part 2, the second instalment of three major new updates for Forever Skies, is now available on PC and PlayStation®5.

The Echoes updates are developed in response to community feedback, focusing on expanding world diversity and refining core gameplay mechanics. While Part 2 is the smallest of the three updates, it still includes many additions requested directly by players.

With the release of Echoes Part 1 in mid-November being extremely well received by both new and existing players, the team has been able to finalize and surprise launch Part 2 now and include a timed holiday event to wrap up the year.

Key Highlights of the Echoes Part 2 Update

• Desolate Radio Towers Overhaul: The Radio Towers in Biome 2 have been reworked with new modules and a system that generates towers to feel distinct and convey a sense that people once lived there.
• New Landmarks: Six new unique landmarks have been added to Biome 2 to discover and explore, including the Pirate Hideout, Playground, Basketball Court, Market, Flying Theatre, and the Romeo and Juliet Theatre.
• Three New Sidequests: More unique side quests that explore the stories of the world's past inhabitants.
• New Devices and Decorations: Quest rewards include the Trashbin Device (to ecologically vaporize items) and the Moth Incubator (to hatch new moth breeds). Players can also find Pirate Themed Decorations.
• Interactive Radar: New quality-of-life features have been added, including the ability to access the to-do list straight from the radar and a map legend to remind players what each marker means.
• Frozen Wishes 2025 Event: The much-requested timed holiday event has returned and will run until January 12, 2026, offering new holiday-themed airship decor items.

New War Child Charity DLC Item Released

Far From Home studio, developer of survival action game Forever Skies has partnered with the UK-based charity War Child to create a one-off piece of Steam and PlayStation 5 DLC where all proceeds go to the organization to help them continue their vital work in supporting children across the globe who have been impacted by the horrors of war.

The item is a cozy holographic globe item that depicts a stuffed bear exploring the cosmos in their little spaceship. It can be printed by players in-game to decorate their airship. The item lets players change the colors of the holograph and can be printed as many times as you like. The DLC can be purchased on Steam and PlayStation for 2.59 GBP / 2.99 EUR / 2.99 USD.

Today is a Day to Remember Our Veterans and Talk About Important Charities

November 11th is a special day in North America as it is known as Veteran's Day in the United States, and it is known as Remembrance Day in Canada.

Instead of posting a press release about games coming out or games being delayed, we at Chalgyr felt that it would be a better idea to promote a charity or two in honor of today.

The most obvious of charities to take a look at is none other than Stackup.org. It started in 2015 to facilitate a strong community of friends, family, and brothers & sisters at arms through the love of video games. Captain Stephen Machuga posted the story of why he began Stackup and it is both terrifying that he was constantly fearful of his surroundings, but he found video games helped him readjust to everyday life. 

Stackup has been integral in helping veterans get back on their feet after their time in the service with four different initiatives: Supply Drop, Air Assaults, Phalanx, and StOP. Learn more about these four initiatives and how to support the cause on the website.

Invictus Games Foundation was founded by Prince Harry (yes, that one) after he returned from deployment to Afghanistan. His time in the service opened his eyes to the realities of conflict and disabilities. Thus, Invictus Games Foundation was created as a way to celebrate the unconquered human spirit. Offering recovery for the international wounded, injured, and sick people in service, Invictus Gaming provides a support network and activities in sports, esports, adventurous challenges, and more!

Another great non-profit charity to support is Military & Veteran Gamers whose mission it is to create a safe environment through gaming and mental health peer support programs. It was founded in 2019 and has sent over 100 care packages since inception. On November 11th, they partner with Never Play Alone and Pizza Hut to Provide Pizza for Patriots where veterans, service members, and volunteers get to eat! There are plenty of other programs they offer, so be sure to check out the website for more information. 

The Wounded Warrior Project is a livestreaming and gaming initiative designed to build a community of warriors and their families through Discord, gaming activities, and community work. They have over 6000 community members who've streamed video games and have raised $1.4 Million dollars since it began in 2003! This year, Wounded Warrior Project has earned the US Department of Labor HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Award and First Coast Worksite Wellness Council's Healthiest Companies Platinum Award. 

There is also a Wounded Warriors Canada program which is a national mental health service provider that began in 2006. They serve professionals in the Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Police Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics, Corrections Officers, and more! Wounded Warriors Canada offers training in Trauma Resiliency, Core Trauma Concepts, Peer Support Fundamentals, and Before Operational Stress. The registered charity has provided over 330,000 hours of clinical treatment per year and has invested about $50 million dollars to their programs. 

Beginning in 1941, the USO has been the nations leading organization to serve the US military and their families during their time in uniform. They offer around the clock hospitality to service members through a number of  specialized programs. The USO is also known for their tours which send celebrities to entertain and convey the nations support of service members. In fact, there are over 250 centers in countries on each content which are operated by thousands of staff and volunteers. Check out the USO here for more details about the organization.

'Make Way' for the Jingle Jam Annual Charity Event!

ExtraLife 2020 - WrathOf314's Stream

Good Friday morning everyone!

This morning I'm hijacking the 8am slot to let you know that I'm streaming today for ExtraLife's 2020 campaign. While the actual campaign is generally the first weekend of November, I do some smaller streams throughout the year to help raise funds for one of our local children's hospitals CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario).

Back in March I decided to do my first stream of the year with Dragon Quest Builders 2 for the PS4 (See Nintendo Switch Review Part 1 and Part 2) and decided why not continue the adventure, so that's exactly what I'm doing today!

One Gamer Fund Unites Game Industry Charities

Good Saturday afternoon everyone!

We all do a lot of gaming around here. I mean, it's what we do. The reasons behind this gaming are not always the same however as that what makes us different. Some do it for fun, some do it for the competition, some do it to relax and some do it to help others.

Rémi and I fall under each of the above and thanks to him a few years back I joined up with the yearly Extra Life where thousands of players around the world play in a 24-hour fundraising and gaming marathon to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. So when the wonderful people at Stride PR reached out to us about the new One Gamer Fund going on this weekend, we had to share it.
