Award Winning Vampire Therapist is Available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch!

Starting February 17, the award-winning Vampire Therapist will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. This BAFTA-nominated title blends a narrative visual novel with a therapy simulation. Players encounter vampires from different historical eras and hear voice acting by actors from Hades, Hades II, and Baldur’s Gate 3. Vampire Therapist previously launched on PC and will arrive on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on March 5.

Vampire Therapist was created by the independent German studio Little Bat Games, founded by Cyrus Nemati, who is also a voice actor known from Pyre and Hades. The game debuted on PC in 2024 and is now expanding to consoles. The console versions were prepared and published by Ultimate Games S.A.

Award-Winning Vampire Therapist Arrives on Consoles

Vampire Therapist has received numerous awards, including the Games for Change Awards, German Computer Game Awards, and Indie X Awards, as well as nominations at the BAFTA Games Awards and the New York Game Awards.

On Steam, Vampire Therapist holds a 95% positive user rating based on about 800 reviews, and the game’s Metascore is 81/100.

The title also features a star-studded English voice cast. The characters are voiced by Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Baldur’s Gate 3), Francesca Meaux (Hades), Sarah Grayson (Gone Home, Hades II), Kylie Clark, and Cyrus Nemati (Pyre, Hades).

The console versions include all free updates and the Couples Therapy DLC in the base edition. Controller support has been enhanced for consoles, and thanks to backward compatibility, the game also runs on Nintendo Switch 2.

Vampires in Therapy

Vampire Therapist is a unique mix of visual novel adventure and therapy simulator. Players take on the role of a Wild West gunslinger turned vampire therapist, helping other vampires confront their traumas and navigate the complexities of immortal existence.

The game stands out with its gothic atmosphere, and its lively, memorable story blends dark comedy and introspection, reminiscent of What We Do in the Shadows and Young Frankenstein.

Players meet vampires from different historical eras, including ancient Greece, Renaissance Italy, and Tudor England. Each vampire patient has a unique backstory and personal traumas that require an individualized approach.

Gameplay includes accessible elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) presented in an engaging way. Mini-games, including mindfulness meditation, add variety to the experience.

Vampire Therapist – Key Features:

  • Visual novel with therapy simulation elements
  • A mix of dark comedy and serious themes
  • Vampires from different historical eras
  • Simple mechanics and engaging narrative
  • Star-studded voice cast

The release date for Vampire Therapist on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch is set for February 17, 2026. The Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions are scheduled for March 5, 2026.

MATT MERCER and a HADES 2 STAR Join Cast Of Vampire Therapist As STEAM NEXT FEST Demo Launches

Sink Your Teeth into a Tasty New Demo and Trailer

Berlin, Germany — June 4, 2024 | Vampire Therapist is playable from today! That’s right, players can find out exactly what troubles the undead, from now until June 17, as part of Steam Next Fest; ahead of the game’s full launch on July 18. What’s more, Little Bat Games is excited to reveal in a new trailer that Hades 2 star Sarah Grayson, Francesca Meaux of Hades fame, newcomer Kylie Clark, and star of Critical Role and Baldur’s Gate 3’s Matthew Mercer will be joining Cyrus Nemati (Hades and Pyre) in the cast of Vampire Therapist.

Created in conjunction with licensed therapists, players will be able to take on the role of Sam in this unique "therapize 'em up" game. Even vampires need a shoulder to cry on. (Just be sure not to show them too much neck at the same time!)

Players can try the first few hours of Vampire Therapist now, meeting Sam’s 3000-year-old mentor, Andramochos, and a myriad of other morose, misunderstood — and dare we say, melodramatic — vampires along the way.

Vampire Therapist creator and voice actor Cyrus Nemati, is truly thrilled to be joined by some of the most well-known voices in all of gaming:

  • Matt Mercer: A legendary voice actor famous for Critical Role and The Legend of Vox Machina

  • Sarah Grayson: Renowned for her roles in Gone Home, Tacoma, and Hades 2

  • Kylie Clark: A talented newcomer trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama

Dive into this unique tale of mental health, vampires and German-inspired nightclubs today!

Become a Vampire Therapist and Help Battle Demons!

Berlin, Germany — March 14, 2024 | What does a therapist for the undead do? Do they live in a castle, cavort with hundreds of mortals or stare at mirrors hoping to see their reflection? Maybe on the weekends, yes — but 9-5, Monday to Friday they’re offering the undead a second chance at living, and Vampire Therapist’s brand new trailer offers a tantalising taste of what to expect.

In Vampire Therapist, players will discover the types of distortions that haunt both vampires and mortals. Taking on the role of Sam, a new devotee to vampire therapy, players will challenge their fellow undead to face up to their distorted versions of reality, and see if they can battle their demons and come out on the other side.

“We are dead, don’t we deserve to rest in peace?” asks Andromachos, a reformed warrior and assassin, and mentor to players on their therapy journey with the terminally blood-thirsty.

All of the techniques shown throughout the game and in this trailer have been created with the help and support of licensed therapists, lending authenticity to the game and its overall message.
