SAN FRANCISCO – JANUARY 11, 2024 – Today, Ubisoft announced that the demo of Prince of Persia™: The Lost Crown is available. The free demo will allow players to try out by themselves the upcoming action-adventure platformer game set in a mythological Persian world, created by Ubisoft Montpellier.

This custom demo gives a first glimpse at the epic journey that awaits them in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, before diving deeper into Mount Qaf on January 18th. This demo includes carefully selected sections from the game, with early unlocks of time powers and amulets, to show the main gameplay features while not spoiling the story. Some content in this demo may vary from the final game. It is available digitally on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as well as Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store.

The full game will release on January 18, 2024 for at a suggested price of 49,99$ on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Amazon Luna as well as Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. Become the Sleuther in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One with Various Investigative Techniques!

19 October 2021 - Kyiv, Ukraine + Dublin, Ireland | With just over a month before the release of Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, developer Frogwares is continuing their series of deep-dive showcase features of the core mechanics of the game.

This time around, we delve into the heart of what makes Sherlock the master sleuth, his detective skills, and what normally goes into solving a case.

Sweep for clues: Finding clues at the scene of the crime is detective work 101. In SHCO however, know that you can miss crucial clues and the game won’t hold you back. It’s up to you to decide when and if you have everything.

Suspect identified: Every case needs a suspect. How you identify them early (correctly or incorrectly) plays out on how the suspect will treat you going forward.

Use a disguise: The locals don’t wanna talk to you? Well, no surprise - you’re new to the island and not to be trusted. But maybe a clever disguise will trick them into trusting you. Acquire various outfits throughout the island and then use your intuition and clues to figure out what disguise to put on to start getting answers. The game will never tell you what disguise to use so expect a few snide remarks if you put on the wrong outfit.

Look at this evidence: Got a piece of evidence you think someone really ought to know something about? The Evidence Pinning system lets you take any clue and present it to any person to see if they know something. With the right evidence in hand and some sound logic of who to ask, you should come out with an answer or two.

Piece it all together: The Mind Palace is where it all comes together. The clues you have uncovered will be here and let you string together your theories of what really went down. Whether you are right or wrong is all down to you as the game won’t block you from making the wrong choice.

A one-man judge and jury: On the island of Cordona, not everything is equal, so what constitutes a crime to some might be right in the eyes of others. It’s up to you to decide. Make your judgment based on what you believe is true and right and live with the consequences.

Frogwares Unveils a Combat Trailer for Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One!

30 September 2021 - Kyiv, Ukraine + Dublin, Ireland | As Sherlock Holmes Chapter One’s release date of November 16th draws closer and closer, Frogwares are beginning to showcase more deep-dive features of the various core systems of the game.

This time around, Frogwares showcases combat and how it’s been built into the game to suit the character of Sherlock.

Fight Smart or Die Trying

As Sherlock has always been a man of brains rather than brawn, the combat is built in a way to reflect this. Don’t expect Sherlock to be able to take a pounding. He’s a glass cannon in these situations so you better move and make smart use of cover. Use your concentration mode to pick out environmental hazards to slow and stun your enemies. Or use tools like your snuff box to daze at close range. And to wrap it up, expect a bit of showmanship and flair as Sherlock unleashes a flurry of slaps and mid-air jabs to put his foes in their place.

Don’t Disturb My Friend, He’s Dead Tired

Non-lethal takedowns are also a key part of combat. Sherlock was never someone out for blood, so non-lethal takedowns are often the preferred option. You can of course gun down your foes if need be or if you find yourself in a jam, but expect to hear about it from your companion Jon. How you approach combat will ultimately influence your relationship with Jon, the same with what moral choices you make during your investigations.

Can’t We All Be Friends?

Despite the overall and careful focus on getting combat right, Frogwares decided early on to give players the choice to skip combat entirely should they choose.

“We are very aware that combat is seen as a great addition for some and a bit of an immersion breaker for others. So we’ve designed the combat encounters to be notable parts of certain quests, but also allow you to tweak the difficulty or even skip them entirely if you don’t enjoy their pace. The outcomes of how you complete combat encounters have small influences on your game, but not to the extent that by turning it off you lose out on extensive content or it hinders your progress.” - Yaroslav Martyniuk, Game Designer, Frogwares

17 June, 2021 - Kyiv, Ukraine + Dublin, Ireland | To wrap up their E3 announcements, Frogwares has released a detailed video showing new gameplay, a look at the various city districts, and how the disguise mechanic plays out in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One.

Getting information out of suspects is a priority for Sherlock. But on the island of Cordona not everyone is so welcoming to outsiders. So hopefully a change of threads will get those tongues wagging.

Similar to Frogwares’ previous investigation themed titles, the game will however not simply tell you what disguise to find and use on characters. It’s up to players to logically conclude what disguise could work based on observation, additional clues and sound reasoning. Similarly, a certain disguise can have the opposite effect and cause a character to be even more tight lipped.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One will release sometime in 2021 on PC (Steam, Epic, GOG), PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Kitara Fables Planting Itself on Last Gen and Next Gen Consoles!

Green-thumb, local vendor and valuable friend - anyone who's anyone grows their produce from Kiki's stock! Visit her shop to purchase seeds for a huge variety of fruits, vegetables, and plants. With everything from pumpkins to pineapples, strawberries to sunflowers, grow them on your plot of land at Thunderbunn Farm and nurture them as they grow into flourishing crops!

You can develop your relationship with Kiki by helping her with errands and doing so will lead to an even wider variety of seeds becoming available to you. Home-grown raspberries? Yes please!

Towering brown bear "Shamrock" is the Paw Village blacksmith - and the epitome of a gentle giant! You'll find him hard at work at his workshop in the South-West corner of the village. Able to craft blades, bows, helmets, or chest plates - Shamrock is your one stop shop for everything weapons and armour!

Change your appearance at home with a selection of skins to choose from, and suit up with the various gear available at the blacksmith's. Hats, horns, huge swords, wings and golden helmets - Shamrock has it all! That is, if you can gather the finest and rarest materials in Kitaria to forge them!

Commander Hazel can be found at the towering Rivero Fortress to the South-East of Paw Village. Her calm, measured temperament makes her a formidable commander in the Empire’s army and a fearsome ally in the fight against the region’s monsters.

Working alongside this fiercely loyal warrior, you'll be sent to every corner of the map investigating disturbances and patrolling for monsters. Collect all manner of materials, relics, and rewards along the way as you face off against foes in the name of Rivero!

Just to the South of Paw Village square you’ll find Ms Apple - the best chef in all of Kitaria! Whether you grow them on your farm or collect them during your quests and battles, be sure to store up the ingredients and Ms Apple can cook, bake, boil or blend most of these into tasty treats for you!

From a quick heal, buffed defences, or some powerful stat bonuses – all food, drinks and snacks in Kitaria come with perks, and in some cases, interesting side effects…
