With Major Updates on Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, The Rogue Prince of Persia and the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the Legendary Franchise Paid an Extensive Tribute to its Fans.

June 10th, 2024 – Today, Ubisoft shared multiple exciting updates on its iconic franchise, Prince of Persia. From major free title updates on Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and The Rogue Prince of Persia, to a beacon of anticipation and excitement around the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the brand confirmed its embers have truly turned into a blaze. And it is only the beginning!

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

The highly anticipated “Divine Trials” free update is now available for all Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown players. It adds 22 new expert challenges for players to push their skills to the maximum! Players can now access the Hall of Memorials, through a special door located in the Haven, and choose from four sets of challenges. These challenges become progressively more difficult and are designed with unique exotic conditions. Whether it’s Platforming, Puzzles, Combat or even newly reworked Boss Battles, there won’t be easy victories! Trials are gradually unlocked as each new power is acquired. However, players who have already completed the trials will get direct access to all of them at once, in their existing saves. Four new amulets and outfits will reward players who managed to beat the revised Boss at the end of each set. Players were also given a glimpse of the future Story DLC "Mask of Darkness", coming to all platforms in September 2024.

The Rogue Prince of Persia

The recently released and critically acclaimed 2D fast-paced platformer roguelite The Rogue Prince of Persia dropped the first major title update to its Early Access during the conference. “The Temple of Fire” brings a vibrant yet treacherous new biome in which players will have to mobilize all their skills to overcome new enemies, traps, and traversal challenges. Evil Empire studio spiced up the experience with 2 new mobs, the Shielded Warrior and Duellist, as well as 1 new weapon, the Flaming Censers. This update also introduces the Meta Progression  Skill Tree, which allows players to use Spirit Glimmers to unlock persistent improvements. The Temple of Fire is the first major content addition among multiple updates leading up to the 1.0 launch of the game, based on community feedback collected throughout the Early Access phase.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time confirmed the targeted year of release, through a poetic vision of a flame reignited. In 2026, players will get to reconnect with their beloved Prince, in an adventure rebuilt from the ground up, which captures the magic of the original game. The game successfully completed its pre-production phase and is now entering full production, with Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Bucharest, Ubisoft Pune and E-Studio joining forces with Ubisoft Montréal.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is Out Now!

January 18th, 2024 - Ubisoft announced that Prince of Persia™: The Lost Crown is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Amazon Luna as well as Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store.

In this brand-new adventure, players will embody Sargon, a young, gifted warrior, member of an elite group called The Immortals. As they are sent to rescue Prince Ghassan, they will explore Mount Qaf, a once wondrous place, now cursed and hostile. Sargon and his brothers-in-arms will soon discover that time itself will be a treacherous foe and that the world balance must be restored.

 
Inspired by the Metroidvania structure, Prince of Persia™: The Lost Crown lets players explore a handcrafted world at their own pace. From the majestic Citadel of Knowledge to the colorful landscapes of the Hyrcanian Forest, players will discover a variety of environments inspired by Persian mythology. By acquiring new time powers, unlocking unique abilities, equipping different amulets and combining them, Sargon will progressively delve deeper into Mount Qaf, solving puzzles, finding secrets, and completing exciting side quests. Sargon will also learn to master the different Time Powers to defeat unique & mythological creatures that will stand in his way.
 
To get a taste of what the game has to offer, players can try out the free demo. This custom demo gives a first glimpse at the epic journey that awaits them in Prince of Persia™: The Lost Crown.
