Not being familiar with the Melty Blood games, I had no idea what to expect really from this last chapter in the fighting series. Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code offers a decently sized roster, fast and surprisingly deep fighting mechanics and enough options to make it a very good if not great fighting game for the PC.

Classic arcade games. These have long held a warm, special place in my heart because I grew up playing them. Recently Bandai Namco Entertainment released a quartet of old quarter munchers in emulated form for a variety of platforms, and I had a chance to sit down and kick the tires on all of them. By and large I liked what I saw.
The first Banner Saga was an awesome game, and one that sort of took people by surprise. The art style was appealing, but until they had a chance to play it, it was hard to know what to expect from this strategy/RPG hybrid. However, once people got their hands on it, the game was a fast hit with gamers and critics alike. With a story that left plenty of room open for a sequel, it was only a matter of time until The Banner Saga 2 was released, and now that it has, I can say it is every bit as good as its predecessor - and in most ways better.
Originally released as ‘Corpse Party: Blood Covered’ in Japan all the way back in 2008, ‘Corpse Party’ is a remake of the original game, as in the one released in 1996. Yeah, this series is old. The premise of this game is that a bunch of high schoolers perform a ‘ritual’, but it’s not known to them that it’s what they’re doing. It starts off in a classroom, normal as can be.
The core issue with Langrissser Re:Incarnation -TENSEI- is not that the game itself is terrible, but it really gets off on the wrong foot several times. This does not encourage a player to stick with the game and find the bright spots to be found later. It also has the unenviable task of trying to carve out its own niche too soon after the release of the most recent Fire Emblem title, and the comparison is simply not a favorable one.
Admittedly, I have been somewhat skeptical of this series over its first two episodes. That being said, The Walking Dead: Michonne - Episode 3: What We Deserve is easily the best in the three part series, and actually stands up as one of the better Telltale Games chapters across their various other series.
The Total War series has grown in several interesting directions over the last several years, but this might be one of their more inspiring directions as they merge with the ever-popular Warhammer series.
When it comes to dungeon crawling RPGs, few developers seem to 'get it' the way Experience Inc does. This is not always the most approachable of genres, but despite an almost painfully long and slow introduction, Ray Gigant quickly establishes itself with an interesting world and mechanics that are both deep but also well enough developed that this title could serve as a great entry point to those who have not given dungeon crawlers a try yet.
The month of May is upon us and it's looking good. That alone can be prefaced with the above image in which is most likely my most looked forward to release on this list. I absolutely fell in love with this cell shaded tactical masterpiece years ago and am still saddened by the lack of the third's release outside of Japan. Making the month even better is the supposed release of the Mighty No. 9 and others like a new Neptunia release staring Blanc and Zombies as well as Uncharted and One Piece.
Without further ado and lamenting on things not to be though, onto the games!
Before GearBox FINALLY announced that Borderlands 3 will be in the works they ventured outside the scag filled badlands to make Battleborn.

The end? Probably not. The beginning of something else? Most likely. Even if Nathan Drake hangs up his adventuring gear it most likely isn't the end of the Uncharted series as someone will most likely pick up the mantel thereafter. Either that or Drake will get bored and head out again! Either way, Uncharted 4 is finally coming out.
Nick and Chris both seemed to enjoy the Open Beta and needless to say this is something to hopefully really look forward to. I should really go play Doom 3 before launch date as the last one I touched was 2...
Something a little more for the kids or those who love art and Disney. A good excuse to crack open the 3DS and get some art done on those lazy Sunday mornings!

Also having not hit last month's release window Dungeons 2 is also supposed to release this month. With some titles making their way from the consoles or handhelds over to the PC, some others are doing the reverse. Dungeons 2 is making its way from the PC over the PS4 later this month for Evil to once again make "goodness quake in its boots".
Mirror's Edge is back with Catalyst that will once again see fast paced parkouring
through urban environements of a somewhat futurisitic dystopian society. Catalyst acts as a prequel and a reboot (though there was only one title) and follows the main character's origins. If you haven't yet played the first this may be a good place to start.
Blizzard made something outside of its three franchises? It wouldn't be the first time as I'm still holding out for another The Lost Vikings title. Dreaming of things that will never be aside, Overwatch is a fast paced team-based shooter that REALLY makes me think of old school Quake and Unreal Tournament with plenty of crazy to go around!

Having grown up with the turtles, yes once again dating myself, seeing a new game is always met with either "oh hell what did they do now" and "damn! That could almost be as good as Turles in Time!".
Mutants in Manhattan I have high hopes for as it looks like it could be one of the better turtles titles in years.
Well if there's one thing that we've learnt it is that the dead don't stay that way no matter how many times we tell them to. Coming to the current generation are the complete versions of Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide with all of their DLC and enhances visuals.
Can it finally be here? For realz and for true? Sorry I had to. I've been looking forward to this for FAR too long as I grew up with the original Mega Man. Since they've stopped the main and even sub series I've been devestated. Well maybe that is a tad bit on the overkill side but let's be honest here. This is most likely as close to a new Mega Man title that anyone is going to get close to in a long time and as it was the creator himself behind it? I may have set my expectations very high in order to be fullfilled. Now if it can REALLY come out this time... I'll be in platforming paradise of the like I haven't had since Shovel Knight.

been looking forward to this one being a One Piece fan for a while. The fast paced action should be the spice that the month of May needs to hopefully warm up the frozen wastes of Canada. Winter still hasn't left us...
