The sequel to the award-winning sci-fi indie title brings back the 80s and 90s, diving into a new dimension on PC and Xbox in 2026.
Toronto, Canada - November 20th, 2025 - Cococucumber today revealed Echo Generation 2, a new chapter in their award-winning, turn-based RPG adventure set to release in 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, Xbox Game Pass, and PC via Steam. Its first trailer was unveiled as part of the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase.
To celebrate the news, the first game, Echo Generation: Midnight Edition, complete with all updates including improvements such as fast travel, 12 new languages, enhanced combat system, visual upgrade and more, is now available with a 65% discount on Xbox, and for 40% off on Steam until November 25th. Xbox owners of the main game will receive the newly upgraded version for free.
Echo Generation 2 follows the adventures of
the first game, putting players now in the boots of Jack as he explores a
whole new dimension beyond Maple Town. Lost among the stars, this
ordinary dad will meet new quirky allies and face unexpected
extra-terrestrial enemies while fighting to find a way back home.
The sci-fi adventure revamps turn-based combat into a dynamic deckbuilder,
with over 100 unique cards players can use to craft combos, unleash
powerful attacks, and summon allies. Players will uncover Jack’s missing
years, exploring a new dimension full of mysteries inspired by 80s and
‘90s movies and video games, and crafted with a nostalgic and colorful
voxel art style.
