• Gobliiins Collection - Switch Review

In the early 90s, Coktel Vision (which later became Sierra On-Line) released a quirky point and click adventure game titled Gobliiins which had players bouncing between three different Goblins to find a cure for good King Angoulafre.

  • Dread Delusion - Xbox Series X|S Review

Today we’re looking at what has rapidly become an absolute favorite in the open-world RPG genre for me. An interesting story, memorable NPCs, stunning visuals, and a setting absolutely dripping with flavor, Dread Delusion sets its tone immediately and sticks with it.

  • House Flipper Remastered Collection - PC Review

I enjoy simulation-type games, and I enjoyed the original release of House Flipper, but I never got around to getting the DLC. When the remastered version of the game was released, I figured it would be the best way to experience the DLC while checking out how the base game was upgraded.

  • 70s-Style Robot Anime Geppy-X - PS5 Review

Euclidean - PC / VR Review

Euclidean is an interesting idea, but one that relies heavily on the Oculus Rift to make it more engaging than it would otherwise be. Cool concepts and unique visuals help to prop up what is otherwise a somewhat simple, shallow experience.

Shadows of Esteren: Dearg is now on Kickstarter

We have long been big fans of the wonderfully atmospheric Shadows of Estern tabletop game, and their new Kickstarter looks like it could prove fantastic. You can (and should) check out the Kickstarter here.

Editor's note - Update: So that was fast. This game reached its goal almost right out of the gates and now you are looking at some seriously cool stretch goals at this point in the game.

So why are we so excited for this upcoming release? Because the content has just been so good. From our Shadows of Esteren: The Monastery of Tuath review:

The religious tones to the story offer some excellent diversity for the campaign. In a world dominated by humans where generally the more fantastical elements are kept out of the spotlight, the religious aspects to this story are a welcome addition. Add to it some political undertones and you have a really solid story to work through with your friends

The setting is simply awesome and tabletop fans need to check this series out.

Chase: Cold Case Investigations - Distant Memories - 3DS Review

Admittedly Chase: Cold Case Investigations - Distant Memories is a very short game, but it has a lower eShop price point and delivers a good if short experience for fans of visual novels.

Syndrome - PC Review

Syndrome looks the part, with quality visuals and an outstanding sound design. Unfortunately this is a case where the presentation belies a game that has loads of potential, but in the end winds up an average-at-best series of missed opportunities.

Windlands - PC / VR Review

Windlands works in large part because it was built with virtual reality in mind, and it shows in the title's overall execution. The sense of movement creates some truly awesome moments and the visuals are bright, crisp and engaging. Things are not perfect by any means, but by and large Windlands manages to move past its flaws and creates a quality Oculus Rift experience.

TOMOKO Water-Resistant 104-Key Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Hardware Review

Admittedly, this keyboard kind of surprised me - but in a good way!

I have several gaming keyboards (and mice and headsets - I game... lots!). I was quite happy with my prior keyboard (a Tesoro). Thing is, this new keyboard from TOMOKO replaced it for me in short order as my go-to now, for several reasons.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Master Collection - Mac Review

Being a little late to the game, I’ve never had the chance to play Dawn of War or Dawn of War II. What makes this important? It’s important as the Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II collection which contains the original Dawn of War II, it’s direct follow up Chaos Rising, and the stand alone Retribution has just recently been released for the Mac OS. For all those that do not have a PC running Windows or the option to dual-boot, Dawn of War 2 is now available for some hardcore Warhammer explosions and epic musical scores.

Oriental Empires - PC Preview

China has a rich and diverse history that goes sadly under-represented in the gaming world. There are some titles, such as the Warriors franchise, that use historical figures, but beyond that? Very little. When Oriental Empires came into Early Access I was thrilled; not only was there a game loosely based on this incredibly rich history, but it was also a grand strategy / 4X hybrid! While rough around the edges, Oriental Empires is an approachable title that is both challenging and rewarding.

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide - Xbox One Review

I recently previewed Warhammer 40,000 Eternal Crusade and, like most Warhammer games in the last few years, I was let down. Severely. Enter the lovable folks at Fatshark games and Pierre-Yve's glowing review of Vermintide on the PC and I thought "Here it is, finally, a Warhammer game to be proud of!" I was wrong, and that pains me to admit it. Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide is not a bad game, but it is a bad port.
