Shadows of Esteren: Dearg is now on Kickstarter
We have long been big fans of the wonderfully atmospheric Shadows of Estern tabletop game, and their new Kickstarter looks like it could prove fantastic. You can (and should) check out the Kickstarter here.

The religious tones to the story offer some excellent diversity for the campaign. In a world dominated by humans where generally the more fantastical elements are kept out of the spotlight, the religious aspects to this story are a welcome addition. Add to it some political undertones and you have a really solid story to work through with your friends
The setting is simply awesome and tabletop fans need to check this series out.

Windlands - PC / VR Review
Windlands works in large part because it was built with virtual reality in mind, and it shows in the title's overall execution. The sense of movement creates some truly awesome moments and the visuals are bright, crisp and engaging. Things are not perfect by any means, but by and large Windlands manages to move past its flaws and creates a quality Oculus Rift experience.

Being a little late to the game, I’ve never had the chance to play Dawn of War or Dawn of War II. What makes this important? It’s important as the Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II collection which contains the original Dawn of War II, it’s direct follow up Chaos Rising, and the stand alone Retribution has just recently been released for the Mac OS. For all those that do not have a PC running Windows or the option to dual-boot, Dawn of War 2 is now available for some hardcore Warhammer explosions and epic musical scores.
Oriental Empires - PC Preview
China has a rich and diverse history that goes sadly under-represented in the gaming world. There are some titles, such as the Warriors franchise, that use historical figures, but beyond that? Very little. When Oriental Empires came into Early Access I was thrilled; not only was there a game loosely based on this incredibly rich history, but it was also a grand strategy / 4X hybrid! While rough around the edges, Oriental Empires is an approachable title that is both challenging and rewarding.

I recently previewed Warhammer 40,000 Eternal Crusade and, like most Warhammer games in the last few years, I was let down. Severely. Enter the lovable folks at Fatshark games and Pierre-Yve's glowing review of Vermintide on the PC and I thought "Here it is, finally, a Warhammer game to be proud of!" I was wrong, and that pains me to admit it. Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide is not a bad game, but it is a bad port.
