• Culdcept the First - Xbox Review

Culdcept the First (also attributed as Culdcept the First Saturn Tribute) is a very fun game, that does show its age. This is basically a re-issue of the 1997 Sega Saturn game that mashes together deckbuilding (think Magic: The Gathering) and boardgames (such as Monopoly).

  • NBA 2K27 - PlayStation 5 Review

With these annual seasonal renewals of the sports season comes the related video games as well, and the question reviewers such as myself always face is this: Is this year’s game worth purchasing one year after the last one? My answer? Yes, absolutely. NBA fans are going to almost certainly enjoy NBA 2K27.

  • Midnight Moments - PC Steam Review

Midnight Moments is a cozy cyberpunk diorama-building game that is stunning. Unlike games that require you to complete quests or take out assailants or even solve challenging puzzles, this one only requires one thing: imagination.

  • Isle of Reveries - PC Review

Isle of Reveries is a top down 2D action adventure game that made my nostalgia for old school Zelda games flare up really hard. A good blending of puzzle, exploration, and combat, Isle of Reveries is a wonderful title to experience inside and out.

  • Outbound - PC Review

Let me tell you about this cozy game my daughter and I are playing together called Outbound. Now, I've been following this game from the initial Kickstarter back in April 2025 to its full release in May 2026. The best Mother's Day gift for myself and my first ever collector's edition in a physical copy!

  • OVER REQUIEMZ - Nintendo Switch Review

In OVER REQUIEMZ Yuhiru is thrown into the castle of Oz and is immediately accused of trying to assassinate the King and shoved into the dungeon. Not only is she treated like a criminal...

  • Dread Delusion - Xbox Series X|S Review

Today we’re looking at what has rapidly become an absolute favorite in the open-world RPG genre for me. An interesting story, memorable NPCs, stunning visuals, and a setting absolutely dripping with flavor, Dread Delusion sets its tone immediately and sticks with it.

  • NHL 27 - PS5 Review

...and I have been playing NHL games since. It didn't matter whether it was EA or another game like 2K in the 2000s; I loved hockey games and still do, but is NHL 27 a step in the right direction?

  • Asdivine Knot - PS5 Review

Asdivine Knot is the latest title in the Kemco JRPG library. Following protagonist Verselio, who's on the run from the church that they once served, he'll be accompanied by an odd selection of party members as they all find a reason to band together…

  • STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT - PC Review

Our story begins in Akihabra, Tokyo Japan. The protagonist Okarin… Or rather Rintaro Okabe, (Voiced by Mamoru Minyano) is a recent high school graduate who rents an apartment with his best friend and resident computer hacker, Itaru ‘Daru’ Hashida (Voiced by Tomokazu Seki) during the summer of 2010.

Shadows of Esteren Book 0: Prologue - Tabletop and Board Games Review

Shadows of Esteren is a medieval horror tabletop RPG that focuses heavily on mental games and not necessarily combat mechanics. That is not to say there is no combat to be had here - but the world here is far more subtle, and the end result is a far more memorable experience than most tabletop RPG games. Shadows of Esteren Book 0: Prologue helps to set the table for those thinking about delving into this fascinating world.

Screens and news about Stardrive 2

We do love our 4x space strategy games around here, and Iceberge Interactive has released some screens and information about the upcoming Stardrive 2.

ScreamRide - Xbox One Review

ScreamRide is an interesting beast, because it was not exactly what I expected, but it still provided plenty of what I wanted. Those familiar with the Roller Coaster Tycoon games should feel comfortably at home with what ScreamRide brings to the table, yet those looking for a similar simulation experience might come away disappointed as well. If you take ScreamRide for what it is, the game itself is actually quite a bit of fun, but set your expectations appropriately.

Gas Guzzlers Extreme: Full Metal Zombie - PC Review

"What the hell was that?"

That was pretty much my initial response the first time a massive zombie lumbered into view while I was driving down the road. The little guys? They're nothing. Future hood ornaments or easily mowed down by bullets. That big guy? He reminds me of the five huge mutants from Fallout 3, and with pretty good reason as he tries to crush my car as I fly past while shooting him full of holes. This is a taste of the insanity that Gas Guzzlers Extreme: Full Metal Zombie provides.

Some screens for the upcoming Battlefleet Gothic: Armada

We like space games around here, so the announcement that another one is coming courtesy of Focus Home Interactive was certainly enough to get us to take notice. Here is a bit more information about it.

Gas Guzzlers Extreme - PC Review

Gas Guzzlers Extreme has been out for about a year and a half now, but with some new DLC available for it, it has gotten something of a refresher. The basic game is a fast and furious racer with weapons. Whether you want to compare it to Mario Kart with more fire and fewer turtle shells or Twisted Metal with race tracks instead of arenas, there are pieces of truth to both comparisons.

Deathtrap - PC Review

Deathtrap is a Tower Defense Hack and Slash RPG set in the same world as NeoCore's The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. The second entry into this series created a more than decent Tower Defense portion that always had me wanting more as it was used as interlude between larger scaled events. Taking the ideas of these portions and adding in new features, NeoCore has created an entry that is both similar and brand new which caters to lovers of both Tower Defense and Hack and Slash Action RPGs.

Forza meets Fast & Furious? Apparently so...

Forza Horizon 2 was one of the best Xbox One games we had a chance to play last year, and its DLC was a lot of fun as well. This newest announced expansion comes as a bit of a surprise, but might turn out to be a perfect fit.

There Came an Echo - PC Review

I love when games take chances. That was the case in my recently reviewed Hand of Fate, and it was equally true when I was logging hours with There Came an Echo. This new real-time strategy game features mouse control, but that is mostly used for zooming and panning. The game itself revolves around using a microphone to issue voice commands. This is a feature that had the potential to be pretty gimmicky, but in truth it is well-executed and serves as a nice, immersive hook instead.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - 3DS Review

I’ve seen friends of mine play obscene hours of Monster Hunter in the past. My brother in particular who would transfer his Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate from his 3DS to his Wii U depending on if he was staying home or heading out. While I had watched on numerous occasions, it wasn’t until picking up Toukiden last year on the Vita that I fell in love with this particular style which leads to now and a new found love for Monster Hunter 4.

An update on the upcoming Torment game

This is a very cool journal update addressing the progress of Torment: Tides of Numenera - and it is absolutely worth taking the time to read through if you have even just a passing interest in the game's progress.

San Juan - Tabletop and Board Games Review

San Juan is a strategy card game that comes from the same team behind the excellent strategy game, Puerto Rico. San Juan is essentially a continuation of the original game, though this time taking place in its namesake, the capital of Puerto Rico. While the original Puerto Rico board game is the inspiration for San Juan, prior fans will be right at home with the familiar feel, while new features and fun will be had, as plenty has changed in the years since Puerto Rico's release. We were able to get our hands on a copy of San Juan and here is how it all played out.

Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late - PS3 Review

Excellent pacing, colorful anime style graphics, unique characters and a story that is actually interesting? Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late may have a somewhat ridiculous title, but the game itself is a thinking man's fighter that manages to stand out and be itself in a genre littered with too many sequels and far too few fresh ideas.
