Nioh - PS4 Preview
Jumping excitedly back into Nioh I was once again FREED FROM THIS MORTAL COIL. Repeatedly at times. Taking the feedback given by players from the Alpha phase back in May, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo Games have re-designed some of the elements of the up-coming Souls like experience that sees William facing off against foes both human and demonic starting off on the shores of Japan in 1600 AD. Entering the Beta phase from the 23rd of August to the 6th of September, if Team Ninja have already put through this amount of changes to an already well built system I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on the full release. Like the Alpha before it which offered the Mark or the Conqueror to those that completed the Demo, the Beta offers the Mark of the Warrior to those that can complete the Beta as well as the original Mark of the Conqueror to those can can complete the original portion.
MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death - PS Vita Review
MeiQ: The Labyrinth of Death is the latest of Compile Hearts and Idea Factory’s JRPGs. The planet’s core has stopped moving and it’s up to the five chosen Machina Mages to complete the required trials in order to Kickstart it back up. Set in a First Person Dungeon Crawling style these Mages will have their work cut out for them with plenty of twists and turns that lay between them and their goals.
Original Sin 2 Comes to Steam Early Access September 15th
Let's be honest here, the year Divinity: Original Sin came out was a great one for RPG gamers. This title in particular was one of my favorites. I am going to be all over the sequel - so let's hear more about it.
Zombasite - PC Review
Zombasite is a Hack and Slash RPG set in a Fantasy Zombie Apocalypse allowing for some rather crazy ideas to take fruition. Fighters, Rogues, Clerics, Wizards, Dark Knights (not Batman) and more pick up their weapons in order to defend the remnants of their homes against the invading hordes, allies turned traitorous, and other tribes and factions that would also burn them to the ground.
Happy Dungeons - Better with a Partner - XB1 Preview
It was just another day on the floating islands. Everyone was fighting against everyone else and the losers were either cut down on the spot of thrown off the ledge to never be seen again. Little do some of these people know is that there are other islands below this one and if you are lucky enough, you may just survive the drop. Falling from the higher islands and faceplanting into the ground may not have been the best way to start off the day but out boar masked warrior has other issues than having eaten the ground. Healed up by a Princess who just so happened to be out on a stroll our warrior gets back up and the mayhem resumes.

The Huntsman: Winter's Curse is an RPG/visual novel hybrid that is an average representation of both genres, doing enough good things to offset some of the issues it has as well. The end result is a pleasant enough experience, but not one that most people are going to play more than once.

Physical Season Pass Disc
Nick was a fan of the first episode giving it quite a nice review. Surprisingly coming out early though is a physical box that contains the season pass for the rest as they release. Maybe not that surprising that Minecraft had the same treatment but lovers of physical copies should be happy.ReCore - XB1
I look at ReCore and can't help think of Septerra Core. This isn't a bad thing as Septerra Core was awesome. This amazing looking RPG may even see a PC port at some point. Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Daybreak Special Gigs World Tour - PS4
Almost everyone likes a good ghost story. Here's what this one is about!One day, a transfer student arrives at Kurenai Academy in Shinjuku. During a tour of the school with the class president, Sayuri Mifune, they spot a ghost – a girl in a white dress. Moments later an evil ghost in a red coat appears and attacks them. His classmate Masamune Shiga shows up with a mysterious woman named Chizuru Fukurai and, with help from the new student, they exorcise the ghost.
After the battle, Fukurai explains: "I’m the CEO of a company called Gate Keepers, Incorporated. We receive inquiries from people to defeat evil ghosts." Shiga works part time for her. She tells the transfer student that he has the ability to sense ghosts, and invites him to join Gate Keepers. He accepts.
This is how the transfer student - you - starts life at Gate Keepers. That moment marks the start of his life-or-death battles against the ghosts that lurk in the darkness of Tokyo.

Alone With You - PS4 Review
Alone With You reminds me of older adventure games where not everything is obvious and in plain site, and that feeling is only reinforced by the pixelated, old-school visuals and the find-it-in-the-environment gameplay. The end result is a somewhat uneven experience that can grow a little repetitive by the end of the game, but there is enough substance to the story and how it is handled to make an impression on the player well after you turn off the game.
