Malta, 15/12/2025 | Indie developer Steelkrill Studio officially announces The 18th Attic, a psychological horror game inspired by Fatal Frame, releasing February 2, 2026 on STEAM, GOG and EPIC GAMES. Players descend into a haunted attic armed only with a Polaroid camera and the companionship of a loyal cat who can restore sanity by giving lots of pets.
In The 18th Attic, ghosts and anomalies can only be revealed by taking a picture with your camera. As the environment twists into new shapes, supernatural encounters drain the player’s sanity and you have to find anomalies to escape the loop. The only way to recover your sanity is by petting your cat, a trusted companion who warns you of danger long before you see it.
