Whether it's watching the credits roll at the end of a game, besting a super secret hidden boss, reaching max level, completing a particularly taxing puzzle or something altogether different - what video game moments were the most satisfying for members of the CGR team, and why? We capped it at four entries each, and here's the first round of them.

Demon's Souls
I can't beat the PS3 version. I can't. But what I can do is beat the PS5 version and that satisfaction of having FINALLY DONE IT, I don't care that it was a more refined version. I did it. And it was glorious.

Dishonored
Much has been said about this masterpiece, so I won't go there and instead cut to the chase.
Pulling off a full Ghost run—never alerting or killing a single non-key NPC—feels like you’re playing Dishonored precisely the way the developers intended. It makes an already addictive game that much more fun to play.

Beating Double Dragon (and my buddy) in the arcade game
I'll be going old school with a couple of mine here. There were numerous arcade games that swallowed my quarters by the zillions it seemed like, and one buddy of mine in particular would hit the arcades with me somewhat frequently. While I have lots of great memories about beating games like Ninja Gaiden and Golden Axe with him, the standout memory for me was Double Dragon. For starters, we both absolutely loved the game, but we were surprised by the ending when you beat the final boss and realize – you’re now squaring off against one another for the damsel in distress, Marian. The music was fantastic, but so was that unexpected twist as we went from having each other’s back throughout the game to now trying to take one another out. It was a close fight, but I just barely won – getting the bragging rights to go with it.

Guild Wars 2 - PC
Surviving the grind to get
myself the 250 gold and mats needed to get my Griffon. Many thanks to
all the fellow guildies and friends who helped me through that. Man,
that was a long long process! Even with the help, the timing for what
time and days people were available made it long, but satisfying.

Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django
If you remember all the way back to the gameboy advance, there was a game where a solar sensor was in the cartridge, and it charged your energy/allowed you to purify vampires. Depending on how strong the sun was, that would affect the in game sun levels and solar power. Unfortunately, my solar sensor was sort of busted. I played through this game with essentially no solar sensor, having to use work arounds and spamming items to get through. Managing to beat this game despite my mechanical limitations was an extremely satisfying victory.

Victory 1 - Destiny 2 - Godslayer Title Destiny 2 is not a difficult game when you consider what it offers. However, a while back Bungie decided to release an interesting challenge for raiders to chase after. That was the Godslayer title. It was a gauntlet of a handful of boss fights in existing raids, but each fight had modifiers and light level caps. Enter The Pantheon which spanned over 5 or 6 weeks. The first ‘level’ required killing four raid bosses to get the credit. The second level required five. The third required six. And finally, the fourth week required eight bosses killed. Each week had increased level restrictions to your gear and it was fun and chaos. Considering I haven’t done as much raiding as other hardcore players, nor have I ever been a big player of a shooter style of game, getting the Godslayer title for me was a huge victory. I had never done that many raid bosses before, nor had a experienced truly coordinated fighting in Destiny. With the successful completion of the whole gauntlet, I bought my third ever pin from Bungie. (The others were Season of the Dawn pin and my Vault of Glass pin as it is the only raid I’ve done every achievement in.)
