3D Realms’ Dark Fantasy FPS GRAVEN Releases Second Major Update in Early Access

AALBORG, Denmark — September 12, 2022 —
GRAVEN, the dark-fantasy action-adventure FPS co-published by 3D Realms and Fulqrum Publishing and developed by Slipgate Ironworks, releases its second major content update today on PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store and other digital platforms, finalizing the game’s first hub. GRAVEN will launch fully on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in 2023.

In today’s update, return to the plague-ridden town of Cruxfirth for a more fleshed-out first hub world. Assist the destitute townsfolk in new side quests and delve into the Damned Estuary for a hub-ending final showdown. Decimate abhorrent creatures with the Writ of Subjugation, an illicit scroll of primitive but effective magic, and the Ballista, a heavy crossbow capable of felling large targets at great distances.

Due to community feedback 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks received after releasing the first content update, the teams have decided to extend development to polish and improve GRAVEN, as well as add a third content update releasing later this year. To ensure a simultaneous PC and console release, the launch date has now shifted to 2023. Check out GRAVEN’s detailed roadmap to see what’s in store for the future.

With next year’s full PC and console release in mind, Slipgate has also introduced full gamepad support and multiple difficulty settings. Starting today, the GOG and Epic Games Store versions of GRAVEN now support online 4-player co-op. Various community-requested features including respawning items, cosmetic upgrades for weapons, purchasable ammo, and more debut with this latest content update.

Heed the Creator as a disgraced Priest hunting down the heretics behind plagues threatening the world. Observe and tinker with a reactive world inspired by immersive sims. Unleash arcane chaos with elemental sorcery or get the Priest’s hands dirty with conventional weaponry. Play solo or with a party of four online on Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.

“We’ve been working hard on GRAVEN lately, ensuring we are focused on the game as a whole,” said Frederik Schreiber, CEO of 3D Realms. “We’re working on every aspect of the game, while continuing to create new content for our Early Access supporters.”

GRAVEN is available now via Steam Early Access, GOG, and Epic Games Store for $24.99 USD / 20.99 EUR / 19.99 GBP and will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, 3Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2023.
