Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to wish everyone a great Christmas and holiday season!

Mine will be exchanging some sibling gifts and getting a few small things (pillows, fleece blankets) tonight from us with a lasagna dinner. I am planning on biscuits and gravy in the morning for breakfast, a ham dinner for later in the night and all the rest of the presents in the morning (thankfully we got all of our travel out of the way for family visits two weekends ago).

I figured the Mario & Luigi graphic was appropriate since last year I wound up with a 3DS as a surprise gift from my wife, and my kiddos (who thankfully don't read this site at all) have the Wii U coming first thing in the morning. It should be a lot of fun.

What about you? Any traditions, travel or big surprises that rolled in for the holiday?

I wish you and yours the very best this season. As always, thank you for dropping by!

  1. I hope you had a Merry Christmas as well!

As for traditions, there's no traditional meal, or anything in particular just yet that we have done. Being that we live away from our families, it's usually spastic with whether we are staying or going.

I started something this year for the boys to add to some Santa fun to Christmas morning, that will probably continue for a few years.

  2. Merry Christmas Chalgyr! Good to hear [in another post?] the Wii U was a hit; looking forward to more of that.

Had a good one here as well with some fun with the kids. Cookies and Milk for Santa, tree decorating, making ornaments, etc.. All in all a good day with them excited with toys and some good food in between.

Got them a big truck they can drive and a number of leappad games to mention a few.

For games; I've been loading up a bit lately. 5 Wii U and 4 3DS eShop.

  3. Wow - sounds like you've kicked it up for game acquisition - I'll be curious to hear what you really liked or maybe what didn't quite hit the mark. Glad to hear the kids had a good Christmas - always my primary 'benchmark' for holiday success. The Wii U has been a huge hit.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Glad to see you poking in to comment!

I know what you mean about the erratic family visit stuff. That was us several years ago, until we finally put our foot down and said we would try to attend a day or two's worth of Christmas get-togethers a weekend or two before the holiday, but that from Christmas and on it was all about us hunkering down with the kids and relaxing. Aside from just the chaos, it seems like the weather never cooperates either.

Some additional Santa fun eh? What was that, if you don't mind me asking?
