Shot Online and Real Soccer - sports fixes to keep an eye on

There are a pair of gaming announcements for fans of both Golf and Soccer that caught my eye earlier from OnNet

First, the press release for Shot Online:

OnNet Europe today announced the Shot Online Charity event to aid flood victims in Germany and Poland. Starting on Thursday, June 20th, Shot Online players can tee off with a great golf experience online and help raise money for the German Red Cross aid effort. Players can participate by donating in-game currency, whether purchased or earned, to the effort, or by purchasing the new, limited edition German golf ball for the price of €3, 81% of golf ball proceeds will be donated to the German Red Cross and the flood relief effort.

“We are deeply sorry for the victims of the terrible flooding in Germany and Poland and want to do our part to help out the people most affected by this disaster”, said Kyeong Youn, Production Director from OnNet Europe. “We hope that players will log on during the event and help us raise money to aid those in the flood regions”.

And then next up, Real Soccer has moved on from its initial beta to an open beta that really should get a look.

The launch of the open beta includes a special sign up promotion for new players, who get the chance to win Amazon vouchers as well as in-game currency when they play for a certain amount of time. OnNet Europe will also be giving out special in-game items to those players who participated in the closed beta test and return to Real Soccer in the first week of open beta.
