T.G.I....F! Contest, Madden, Dragon's Dogma and more!

Good grief, am I glad the weekend's nearly here.  I am going to be pretty busy tomorrow as I head out of town with my wife and youngest for a small trip related to her Girl Scouts troop.  I have a larger-than-normal night of Magic: The Gathering coming up on Monday as well that I need to make sure my top decks are in shape for (I have a very cool new exalted deck I will likely post about here after  Monday when I see how it plays).  Still, I have a lot more than that going on.  I want to remind you that I have a contest still you can enter until tomorrow night for a free iPad game.

So, to kick things off... I got to play the Madden 13 demo last night.

Gua-Le-Ni: Paper Beasts - iPad Review & A Contest!

Originally released back in December, Gua-Le-Ni: Paper Beasts is an odd game at first glance.  It is a puzzle game, that much becomes clear rather quickly - but the way it plays out is unlike anything else I have played so far on the iPad.  The premise is simple, but effective.  Animals such as tigers, condors and camels are drawn out in paper sketches and then 'torn apart'.  These different pieces are then put together and marched across your screen from right to left.

Diablo 3 - beaten, 50k hits on the site - solid week

What have I been up to?  What have you been up to?  Usually I post these on Mondays, but I had a couple of reasons for waiting just a bit longer, and for two reasons.  First up, I beat Diablo III finally.  I know, I know - everyone and their mom who has played beat it in like three days.  My son beat it in less than three days.  So what took me so long?

Red Faction: Guerrilla - Xbox 360 Review

Here's another lightweight review of a somewhat older game from this console generation - Red Faction: Guerrilla.  I borrowed this from a friend for a weekend and my son and I both went ahead and played it for several hours each.  My son liked it a bit more than me, but that is generally the case with most shooters.  He is much more interested in whether or not he can blow things up with people online and is generally not worried about story lines.
